Everybody left now, peace and quiet has resumed.

Popped to south beach todays to let the dogs have a run and we went shell collecting with granddaughter. We took kits but there was no wind, the mist burnt off and it was roasting.

Returned home, lunch, i've sat in the garden with the dogs all afternoon in the sun, whilst granddaugter went to look at the boats and to the playpark.
Then we've played in the garden, had pizza for tea, and theyve gone...

Apparently she was asleep within 100 yards of leaving biggrin

I should have read your post earlier old chap, we were at a loss as to where to go, ended up in The New Forest hotel, where we ordered this little beauty......
yikes A sharing mixed grill platter for four?

Gordon Bennett, Bobbers!

And a small individual Yorkshire pud for Mrs Bobbers?

Edit: Don't you think they overdid it when they added all those rocket leaves?

We didn't know it came with chips so ordered chips, big mistake, the original board was too much for both of us in the first place!!!

The votes have been counted. The decision to rename Galoshes Corner overlooking the mill race at Trivingham Mill has been decided.

The Results:
Keep the name unchanged 1
Change the name to Gumboot Gully 5
Change the name to Wader Way 6

The Council Leader's casting vote was not required.

The plaque honouring Brigadier Brassington KBO mounted on the bench is to be polished when the new signage is erected.
A most excellent decision, will there be a boot scrape mounted nearby???
Might one (1) suggest a skipper's chair in honour of old Pequod in th "Wheelhouse Bar"? Sponsored by Sth of th quator.

We had about 15 minutes of sun today when the temp got to 15, then the rain came and it’s not stopped all afternoon. Typical bank holiday weather in the North East, it really is grim up here.

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywherecoffee
Well it's back to work for me today, feeling much better, but was dozing on and off from 0350 until the alarm at 0530, must be the sheer excitement of returning to work.

I meant to reply to you yesterday Magoo, I read Mien Kampf a few years ago, it's interesting to see his perspective on things, also worth noting that it was edited by Rudolph Hess.

Back to work, but I'll have a pre work run round the park that's next to the office before sums commence.

I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I received a WhatsApp message tonight from peqoud's sister on his phone.
Sadly peqoud passed away earlier today after a short battle with cancer.
He was a gentleman and will be sorely missed.
Goodnight Peter, rest in peace my friend.

I have been out of range of any sort of internet for the last few days, having come back to this news i am beginning to wish i had stayed out of range.

Is the hoodie going to be zip up or pull over style?

Morneve all coffee

This morning the first of our three bathrooms/toilets gets ripped out. Apparently it’s a month-long job. I reckon they can do all three in three weeks with a decent supply of coffee, tea, and biscuits. yes

I picked up a slight tan in the garden yesterday...two cold beers, however the sunlight was too bright to read the kindle app on the fire tablet. First world problems...

We had an early tea with Mrs B having wine, then she fell asleep around 7pm on the sofa...
I'm not sure these early dog walks agree with her... biggrin

Nor me suggesting they would be doing her some good...

Can I speak from experience of having the on suite, main bathroom and downstairs loo done, that they don't rip all three out at the same time. "Oh but we can put it all in the same one skip"

We took a wall down in the main bathroom and moved the soil pipe because it was taking up around 2 foot of empty space, used to form an arch. We got an extra big bathroom for no cost to the other rooms, but it meant a huge mess.

Even so, a week for that, a week for the ensuite as again everything came out and new stuff was relocated, and 2-3 days for the downstairs loo.

Bobbers, glad to hear you are feeling well again.

Todays plans is just the garden centre. I've identified that the unknown seeds planted which are growing at about an inch a day are sweet peas. I save seeds from last years plants but forgot to write on the pots what they were. I had written on the envelope...

So I'll put the in a large pot. Need compost, and some support for them. Then perhaps more rest and reading. Mrs B is planning to leave me until the weekend to see the grandkids.

Today I start preparations for my Isle of Skye expedition. 3 of us ‘boys” are headed for the island on Friday. We have an overnight stop in an Airbnb west of Sterling and then off to Skye via the Mallaig ferry on Saturday until Wednesday next week.

We are staying in Uig at the top of the island and are spending the time birding and landscape photographing. One of my friends is a professional photographer. The other an expert birder, so I will be in good company. Me, well I am an expert plane spotter.

Today it’s prep the guest room and guest bathroom ready for my friends overnight stay on Thursday, he’s coming up from Kent, do the weekly and holiday shop, lay out my gear ready for packing. Tomorrow it’s prep the Kroc ready for its epic journey.

I will endeavour to post a daily Snoopy but will depend on connectivity.
