IF it's a halogen bulb, you're not supposed to touch or get grease on the glass as it creates hot spots and the bulb will fail again.

Magnet on a string or chop up a wire coat hanger to make a hooking tool to fish them out.

Feel for you.

Headlight bulbs are proof the engineers hate the mechanics.

I had to do one recently where the last idiot who had been in there had fitted the spring clip the wrong way around. 30 mins of trying to contort it out, then another hour trying to get it back in the way ot came out before I tried fitting it the right way round. Last guy must have had fingers like Jimmy Hendrix to get that thing in like that.

Lol, yeah I must admit they do seem to like to make these jobs a lot harder than they should be!

The Canbus on these Astras is very sensitive to LEDs, more so on the 5 door for some reason (this topic comes up all the time on the Facebook owners groups). You'll get a bulb out warning every time, if you can live with it!

You can get halogen ones with a blue glass if you're after a whiter light smile

Headlight bulbs are the proof that the accountants hate everyone; no engineer not working under the yoke of rabid cost saving would design them that way

Just use a grabber tool, or follow the air vent to where it is exiting and shake them out of there. Whereabouts are you location wise, if nearby I can bring my tool over for you?
