My Cayman GTS 2.5 was 700 last year and my insurer invited renewal at 1800. Cheapest quotes were coming in about 1100 but ended up going with Aviva at 1400. For the sake of £30 a month i'd rather have the peace of mind a claim will be dealt with reasonably well.

Top quotes were close to 3k and a few insurers said they wouldn't give me a quote as my car is parked on the street (no keyless).

I was surprised by the insurance renewal on my 4.0 that came in at £860 so only a £200 increase.

I also renewed my Son's insurance (21 with 1 years NCB on a Picanto) and it came out £150 cheaper than last year.

981 GT4

Classicline renewal came back £40 up on last year at £620.

Unlikely to see any track action this year so went with Aviva, £300.

My 981 GT4 lives the garage when not out and about.

It would be helpful if everyone put their general location when quoting figures as I found moving to North London caused a big increase in my premium, despite being in an underground garage

Bizarrely garaging v drive parking mostly increases premiums! Because the car is more likely to be damaged driving in and out of the garage.

Driveway can also increase premiums rather than road parking because it is less obvious where the car lives which reduces risk of thieves taking the keys from the property.

Also it is interesting whilst most insurers require tracker activation those insurers that do not quote a higher premium if tracker is activated.

A long with the above I was advised re keep the car in a garage, an integral garage could increase the premium. In a house fire scenario you may not be able to save your car(s) as your gaff burns. Better chance with a detached garage. Online quotes never prompt for garage type though so who knows….
