Well it was at the time, now only one of them. Jack Jones is completely out of his depth here. Has anyone ever failed to get a single frame in a final of this length?

Another genius… it was 2-0 when I posted that - Kyren had gifted multiple opportunities, other guy can’t even pot a ball. Hardly a classic. Obviously since then Kyren has settled and is playing well. The other guy… not so much. Still, at least it’s going to be quick - odds on it not making final session?

There's a long way to go yet, but the biggest winning margin in the modern era is 18-3 to Steve Davis over John Parrott in 1989. Hopefully we don't get anything like that here, and Jones manages to make a contest of it.

There was an interesting stat at the beginning of the match. Jones has played almost twice as much snooker as Wilson en-route to the final, 45 hrs match time versus 23 for Wilson.

Edit to add

That stat works both ways though. A negative because Jones is tired, or a positive because he has shown a good grinding/fighting spirit through long matches.
I'm guessing he's tired though because he told Hendry this morning that he'd hardly slept a wink last night.

No genius here, but guilty of missing the timing of your post. Still, it doesn't take a genius to work out that there might've been a few nerves affecting the quality of play in the first couple of frames of the final.

That stat looks like it's taking its toll on Jak; he looks flat. Other than getting on the practice table, he should go and watch the '85 final for inspiration, seeing what can happen from being 8-0 and 9-2 down.

Reckon there’s a few twists and turns to come before this is all over.

I hope there are more twists and turns to this, Jak Jones has played really well and beaten some very good players on the way. I think what we are seeing is the effect of the late finish last night and not enough rest, hopefully he will be better this evening.

I'm pleased he's started to make a go of it. I don't really mind who wins but I certainly don't want to see anyone get whacked.

From memory, this event used to be rammed and here we are in the final and there are a noticeable number of empty seats.

Looks pretty full to me; Snooker is only really ever as close to capacity as possible at the start of the match or session because punters go for a slash or drink between frames

I know frame ball was a couple before, but that yellow from Jones in frame 14 was insane
