Is anyone paying for this via: https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/welcome ? The way it looks is that I have to pay a monthly subscription then 25 quid for the fight, am I reading this wrong? TIA!
it's a 25-quid one-off payment on Amazon Prime as another option.

Yeah I was at the first 2 Fury vs Wilder fights and watched all of the undercard. Was dead until we got to a couple of fights before main event and still only half full. For the first couple of fights it felt like me, the judges and the corner
I can never understand why fans pay for a ticket and turn up just to watch the main event...as well as missing good fights, it feels kinda disrespectful to the other fighters on the card, who are putting everything on the line, and yet some people would rather drink at the bar.

Oh, thank you, that is much simpler.

I went to Beterbiev Vs Browne in Montreal which had the worst undercard I've ever seen, genuinely awful. That was half full from the first fight and packed out long before.

I think these big Vegas cards, the audience is just so fundamentally different. It's either fans of a specific fighter, or people who just want to be seen/enjoy massive events that show up, not many pure boxing fans. For the Fury fight, it was all gypsies and rich Yanks/celebs. The gypsies were there for Tyson, the rest for the event. Montreal was full of boxing fans, it's a Russian Vs an American in Canada...

It's why fighters like Jonny Fisher and Katie Taylor (before she headlined cards) are so important. They bring thousands of fans with them, who'll then be there for the card after that fight has happened. At MSG when I was there for AJ Vs Ruiz, the place was electric earlier because Taylor was on the card and there might have been more Irish there than English.

That's exactly the sickner. I will forget or give up when trying to figure it out and they more than fully know there are idiots like me! Also read they only stream in 720p, I think amazon prime much be a better picture quality on the tv.

Fury's odds dropping now. The smart money is coming in and backing the obvious winner wink

Why are all the big fights on so late?

It's 1.00am for the locals tonight.

3hrs ahead of UK and advertised for 11pm but that usually means more like midnight, so 3am there.... I am really torn if I care enough!

Unfortunately, I don't think the change in odds reflects much apart from who is the bigger "name", and hence draws the bigger bets. Logic points to Usyk winning imho. Although, I still think Fury will do it. spin

I guess it's for the American TV market?

But you're right I'm not sure I do either, it will be all over youtube tomorrow morning anyway.

I will be annoyed if I missed the fight of the century live but I will be even more annoyed if I stay up till midnight / 1am by the time I sleep just to see them jab till the end then it's handed to tyson and everyone complains as they think usyk won it (but of course, corruption).

Those wanting to watch the fight on Youtube in the morning; worth mentioning, you usually have to wait until Sunday evening or Monday morning to get a proper video, rather than an overly cropped video (which they do to remove the broadcast copyright protections). Not saying that is important to everyone, but if you get the PPV you can at least also watch the fight tomorrow morning in HD smile

Nice application of pressure from Kabayel, finishing Sanchez with a jab to the body!

They are timed for the US audience. That's where the big PPV numbers are. It'll be about 6pm in NY, going down to about 2pm in LA, and various times in between across the States.

They don't give a fig about PPV numbers in the US. If they did, they wouldn't be doing it in Saudi, or at afternoon viewing times in the US. Their project (Vision 2030) is nothing to do with regular PPV boxing models.
