Earlier yesterday I made some comment on the HIGNFY Facebook page damning Jason Manford with faint praise (I called him "tolerable") and he replied that this was the nicest thing someone had said to him online this week. rofl

(If you work out my FB identity from that then please do not link it here. That would be against a) my wishes and b) the rules of posting)

Well you didn't have to post the above and risk outing yourself on PH. Does your left hand know what your right hand is doing? Just curious.

Maybe just get the relevant posts deleted as you are concerned.

I wish I'd commented there, I'd have been able to write, "I've never heard of Jason Manford but...."

It does.

I was just asking people to work with me rather than worrying. Is that so bad?

Sorry, what relevant posts? Did I miss a pruning?

I thought JM was a decent host but then again I've paid to watch his stand up show so I'm obviously biased wink

I thought Phil Wang did a decent job, considering he was parachuted in at short notice

He was good, looking forward to his new podcast.

I thought it was a good episode.

I thought it was great - a respite from the infected blood enquiry, the PO enquiry and the election.

Baroness Ruth Davidson could teach Rishi about how to do 'normal' - she was confident and witty.
Richard Osman is always a bonus.

And I'd see Phil Wang be the perm host - seems unflappable.

I remember the first time Richard Osman was on the show. He was clearly nervous and had obviously been told to be edgy, and absolutely laid into Ian Hislop in a really nasty way. Was awks

It was good to see him so much more relaxed and confident in himself this time.

Was a really good episode.

Well, apart from one point where he messed up, and Richard said "we've got a dog painted as a host!"

I really enjoy the program, but this week was a real stand out, Phil Wang was excellent as host;

Would have preferred it if Paul Merton was given the election question and Ian Hislop the PO inquiry, which TBF he did a decent job of anyway.

Guests were also good, all in, most enjoyable.

Not seen it yet but looking forward to it. I've seen Phil Wang in a few panel things, the usual BBC stuff and Last Leg perhaps?

Don't usually bother with this show because of Merton not looking even remotely bothered as I have mentioned before but I had a trailer come up on my youtube which looked like Hislop was going to tear a few people some new holes, so I made sure I caught it.

It was excellent. With all the ammunition they are going to have with people making gaffs between now and July it's probably going to be worth watching again.

It looks like there are only a couple of episodes left in the series, considering the imminent glut of material I hope they extend the series.

Isn't there a thing about the BBC not doing political 'stuff' on entertainment shows during a GE campaign, or did I just make that up?

They have to be impartial, which is why Wang was brought in last minute to replace......a politician I guess?

Don't know why Davidson was kept on then.
