Anyone watched roadhouse yet? Will maybe put it on tonight. Loved the original.

Ads don’t bother me, they’re very short and infrequent. Certainly not enough to either stop watching the service or to pay more.
There are some reviews on the Films I watched this week thread

We watched it last night, don't compare to the original just enjoy the romp. Macgregor was awful, so bad it was funny.

Seemed to get a lot of hate on imdb but we quite enjoyed it and some funny lines , as said not a patch on the original but I'm a Jeff Healey and Sam Elliott fan and im biased

There was an ad at the start but don't recall any others

Just watched it tonight, started well but got a bit silly when McGregor arrived. The CGI was also a bit off putting (never seen it used in fight scenes before). Doubt I’d watch it again but ok for a disengaged brain, Friday night film.

Enjoyable but daft especially McGregor. I hope he sticks to his day job

I paid money to watch Argylle last night. What a waste. Wait until it's free to air somewhere.

Watched Tremors with my son as he's never seen it. Great film but adverts during it. I might have put up with ads at the start but during a film is too far. Cancelled my prime membership this morning.

Off topic, but I've noticed another "shrinkflation" about Amazon Prime. Not only do we now get adverts on Prime Video but physical purchases with Prime shipping now arrive late in the afternoon unless you either pay £1.99 extra or spend more than £20, in which case they arrive by 1pm. Unless the item doesn't qualify for that in which case it's late afternoon again.

Agree on the adverts

Delivery i find fine
I ordered a couple things Sunday 10am and they came Sunday 8pm. Not sure how much faster can be unless it's delivered by Walter Rohrl

I find the delivery a bit all over the place and also kind of hidden a bit now. As CC said, some things now have the option to have it delivered quicker if you buy more, some things are next day before a certain time and then some things come a day later. All will be listed as "Prime". It's not a huge issue as I'm not normally in a rush for things but I agree when it was supposed to be part of your subscription it's just another way to squeeze a few more shackles out of users.

Indeed. That was what I was trying to say. yes

(Glad it's not just me who has noticed this with Prime delivery)

It's another example of what you were paying for being eroded, and you have to pay extra to get back what you once had. Exactly the same as with the adverts and being advert-free again.

Land of Bad

I wouldn't say it was a gem as such but I know some of you like this type of thing hehe

The explosions from the missles from the reaper drone were spectacular.

Is there anything like Jack Ryan, Reacher, Night Agent, Night Manager etc?

Not in to gangs/drugs, but love spy stuff and political/financial thrillers.

Probably better to ask on the Netflix thread

We've just started a series called Gray, about an ex spy chief brought back in from being on the run to find a mole. It's a little slow going but we're enjoying it so far.
