Turnout was 40.5% which while slightly down on the previous mayoral election is near enough average to all previous elections which should mean that Khan will win (famous last words right there ).

Hall needed it to be mid 30s at most to really stand a chance but we shall see. Count ain’t in yet…

Yep. Worth noting to non-Londoners that these declared boroughs are inner London and Khan ‘heartlands’ where he’d expected to do well.

Be interesting to see the turnout for outer boroughs with regards to ULEZ.

But how many people in those areas who bothered to go out and vote have a non compliant car? I cant seen it actually making much difference to the overall result.

I’ve a home in Brum and have to say that Andy Street has been a decent mayor in my experience, he clearly distanced himself from the parliamentary party in his campaign (who with half a brain wouldn’t), but they’re saying it’s too close to call. I’d be very surprised if he loses and a little disappointed.
