A summary of your post:

Spend more money
Remove people's freedoms
Evil Tories

Not very original, is it?

You mention housing: if immigration was controlled there'd be enough housing! But you won't say that because your ideology loves it.
i have no anti tory adjenda, i voted tory my whole life, the current bunch are a bunch of right wing nut cases.

immigration is mostly for study (and then switching to working visas after plus bringing dependants, or worker shortage visas / workin visas for "high" jobs. its not people on boats. The government control how many study visas, and the control the levels you can move here for a working visa. They dont control who rocks up on a boat, but in reality its a tiny amount.

there is not enough housing in London, we need to build build build, make it easy and make it fast.

You're the one with the problem. You tell me the part which you think is really bad?
No - I'm really not.

I'm not doing your homework for you. You've already said you haven't actually read the speech so it's fking funny that you're now asking others what was wrong with it. Maybe try reading it. A wild suggestion I know.

"knife crime" in london is mostly gang on gang. kids fighting. they should be other options for them than being told to shot weed and heroin for someone else and handed a knife. the less you spend on other options, the more knife crime there is.
It's a bit more nuanced than that. As we seem to have more lax policing, things like knife crime, anti social behaviour, phone snatchers on mopeds and similar things just seem to get worse. It's not just kids vs kids - everyone can be a target and thats part of the problem we need to tackle.

I wonder if he also found Hitlers socialist and green agenda quite reassuring and "factually correct"

It only peaked because people had to be in the office. Now they dont (wfh etc) people can't wait to move.
Is that "all" people? People you know? Or what you're hearing.

Like any big city there is rough and smooth. It's great for some things. Less so for others.

London's a great place. But so are the Cotswolds.

I'm not sure anyone changing their travel patterns over a £2 fare discount is going to be boosting the London economy massively, but who knows what people think and do.

SK and the other candidates are just like the cretins in the HoP...only with Napoleon syndrome.

Oh look. A controversial take from an account that spends all its time posting controversial takes on 'culture wars' threads in NP&E.

How unexpected. I bet you live somewhere amazing, don't you? I bet it's not dull at all? laugh

Please detail which sentences you have a problem with?

After Covid London property prices were dropping and outside London prices were increasing from the change in demand.

People only move to London for work. Otherwise they avoid living there.

What exactly was "controversial"?

People only moved to London for work. Now that us required less, people don't want to live in London?

Yes, how controversial....

You've come to a thread about the London mayoral election, to tell everyone your hot take that you think the entire capital city is a "dump".

All 9m people live in a "dump", apparently.

It's always provincial types with a chip on their shoulder. laugh

Nope. Why don’t you let us know why you don’t have a problem with both it and the aftermath. I’ve give you a starter for ten:

Do you think that repatriation of immigrants is a racist trope based, as he suggested, on nothing other than the fact that they were immigrants.

Then I’d like you to walk us through the speech which you’ve now read fully, and tell us piece by piece why you agree with it.

What a load of tosh.

Spoken by someone who probably visited once, found it too busy and with far too many brown people and promptly ran back to the train station home.

What utopia do you live in then?

Well this seems the right moment to say it?

Stop voting for a bloke who is making it worse.

You're the one who has a problem with a speech. Therefore the onus is on you to state which part of it you think is wrong.

Doesn't have to be every part, just a couple of parts.

Jesus Christ. Every time you post a kitten dies.

All of it. Does that help. It’s a racist diatribe.

One that you don’t seem to have a problem with.

Thank you for adding the link.

I don't know his entire speech (in case he also said something outrageous) but didn't he simply say cultures clash and there will be rivers of blood?
Google will help you educate yourself here.

Actually Susan's the one with a problem, as no one is going to vote for her.
