I know they say all bonds are equal but it allways looks like people who invested 50k or a big lump sum win more than people who chipped away
Not sure how you work that out. I only count 3 £100k+ winners this month who put in one £50k lump.

Blimey some with holding of £6,300 won £100k! Gives me hope that i'll win something like that with the £5k I have in there biggrin

Even better holding of £2,250 wins £100k further down the list!
Whilst obviously I’d like to win myself, it’s seeing the little guys winning amongst the max holders that puts a smile on my face thinking it’s probably going to make quite a difference.

Was looking across the board of prizes in my area. People with 20K+ lump allways looks to do better than people who have invested smaller over time to get to 50k.

It's probably just that far more people deposit a large lump than drip-feed smaller amounts in.

It shouldn't, in theory, make any difference whatsoever.

I've had premium bonds for about 40 years with varying amounts of value invested between £200 and about £20,000. What I noticed is that I won't have anything for six months and then I'll have three or four months where I win something. Then rinse and repeat. When I did have 20k invested the wins were more frequent than when I had 200 but that cycle still seemed to hold true for me.

And also this thread jumping into action each month the day before the actual results so I get unnecessarily excited ...

A million from 10k put in just over 3 years ago, looks like they had also won £575 in that time, so were probably faily pleased already with a few small wins!

They like to start the month off by selling and then buying pbs to "get a better number" and then head over to the Brexit was it worth it thread to continue the fantasy.
