GF Williams gets my vote. Done a cool roof, walls etc, been able to make a small studio for himself as well as making it a useable garage.

Be interesting to see as it's rather hard to make use of most 'single' garages. Can barely fit a car in them, and if you can there's no room for anything else except maybe a shelf.

1 single brick garage seperate from the house which means much damp and mould.
A rotten side door to be bricked up then a new roller door should help.

No room to work but lucky to have a car port infront which helps

Good idea for a thread. Needs real creativity to do anything within that limitation.

The photographer GF Williams has turned his new build single garage into something rather special in my eyes. Sorry if that wasn't clear. It's all on the 'gram.

Having an old mini makes a garage look bigger than it is I think!

This was as I was moving in, so the workbenches are clear of stuff now.

I will add to this when mine is finished, but as I have a guy coming to quote for a roof leak Thursday, I might just ask him to quote for that style of roof as well!

Normal roof with six lights built in. Cool effect.

Oh ok, yeah don't assume people on Pistonheads know (or care) about the 'gram. Don't know him but yes, he's got a nice garage.

Grouping square LED panels to simulate skylights, does look good.

But for polishing etc., wouldn't a lot of strip lights be better? - would make it easier to see paint defects in the reflections of the isolated lights...

Technically still a single garage, as the footprint was doubled (DIY project, I did everything bar the footings and the brick/blockwork) but not increasing area for cars! (but the extra room freed up enough space for me to "temporarily" store my 205 in the actual garage half, as its the parents garage, but now they have a decent utility/workshop and outside loo & dog shower space as a trade off!)

Tatty existing:

Build underway, and opportunity to smarten up the outside:
