718 GT4 First Service

Hi,

My first service is due on my 718 GT4.

The car was purchased from OPC Reading.

Is there any benefit to taking it back there, as i understand it they are the centre that does the initial checks on all GT cars?

If not I’ll take it to a closer centre, probably Hatfield.

Absolutely fine taking it to Hatfield.

Take it to the one that gives you the cheapest price to service it. They do vary and quite a bit.

Reading is only a must-use for CGT and 918, all other GT products are just fine at any OPC

Mine is due next month so I rang around. Just wondering if the 2x prices I'm being quoted below from my 2x nearest OPC's, are near enough what others are currently being quoted?

£1017.39

Both said it was being done on time (not milage, due to my low miles), an intermediate service & inspection inc' engine oil & fluids, and brake fluid.

I have no reason to distrust, just curious of others' recent experiences .

If you are a member of Porsche Club GB you may get a discount. I got a 10% discount off the quoted price. Also applies to tyres where I got 15%.

Not all centres honour this. And not for tyres either.
They say… we just pass on price from supplier.

I had first service on my 718 Spyder last May and was charged £881 - included brake fluid change. Bournemouth OPC . I would have though5 GT 4 service requirements would be same as Spyder ?
