Updated as price reduced to £3500.

DUCATI 749 BIP 2007

My facelifted 2007 biposto is reluctantly up for sale.

Owned since November 2021 as a bike I’d always wanted, and bought on the strength that a regularly used machine would be better than a garage queen. The mileage is higher than most, but the engine is still lovely (or a dry clutch rattling nightmare if you like smooth inline fours of course).

As the facelift model it has slightly more horsepower (108) than the initial model, but slightly less than the ‘S.’ I've never found it lacking though, and ended up buying this over a 999 that I test rode, as I found it more usable on the road.

I love the looks, theatre, noise, handling and most things about it, although as you probably know the mirrors are ornamental, and the riding position can be challenging over long days.

It has a fresh MOT until April 2025, and has had quite a bit of work done since I’ve owned it, including recent belts and valve clearances. The belts fitted have a 3 year interval, so are due March 2025. A list of work is below and it comes with a new fuel filter and o-rings to fit at the next service (bought as a precautionary measure for something that actually turned out to be the side stand switch). The indicators in the front mirrors have some light cosmetic damage, and the screen has some crazing but functions perfectly.

I’ll include the original fairings that I replaced as part of the sale if desired.
Work history from me and previous owner (most work in my ownership work carried out by Transit Motorcycles in York):
September 2023
New side stand switch
New air filter
Oil and filter change
November 2022
Replaced fuel pump relay and corrected wiring loom
Front tyre at 32881 Miles
Repaired break in wiring loom to fix horn
Carbon Fibre rear hugger
May 2022
New fairings (except rear seat surround as the kit was a Monoposto and the conversion to Mono was expensive and removed the luggage option).
March 2022
Valve Clearances adjusted (cylinder head off job)
New Brembo brake disks
September 2021
Clutch basket and pressure plate
June 2021
Front wheel bearings and swinging arm bearings
Timing belts and pulley bearings
Front brake seals
May 2021
Rear header pipe
There’s additional paperwork and MOTs with the bike, along with all keys(including the red one) and booklets. I’ve only posted a couple of photos up, but of course have many more…. Please let me know what you’d like to see!

That's lovely.

I was looking at second hand mountain bikes earlier...it's mental what good value something like this is in comparison.

Thanks! Yes, it certainly feels a lot of bike for the money given just how well it rides.

I forgot to post in the title, I live in York if anyone wants a closer look!
