Sounds like a good invasion! What do people think about Alfa's Selespeed transmission in your part of the world?

The motoring papers here don't particularly like it, which is disappointing - surely if it is good enough for Formula 1 it is good enough for us!

Hi McNab! Pleased to start a conversation with you. In fact my e-mail had nothing to do with the Alfa. It was a greeting to my compatriot.
However, I do love the alfa and also think sequencial is the future. But the reason why people deslike Selespeed it's because they claime it is to slow. I think it takes something like a second to gear up! No t very exciting. You can do better with the standard manual! But if you question someone about the new M3 gearbox, I guess answers will be different. It takes something like O,3 seconds, something you could never achieve with your foot and and, except if you are a professional!
And against the majority of portuguese people,I would rather have a sequencial, than stick with trottle blipping in down changing.

yes a sequential box is very nice, but it seems we are going in direction of fully-automatic gear boxes. what a shame… what i would give for a selespeed! red! atmospheric! gasoline!!!!! enfim, não se pode ter tudo…

In fact I've never destroyed any Focus, but that's the reason why of my nickname.
I'm not Colin McRae, but Hugo REIS and never completely destoyed a car!
