It was this - claimed it was the last one, but link still works and still claiming last one available. At the price I figured it was worth a shot, as I'm not about to spend 200+ on what is a pretty useless nav at the best of times.

As an aside/thread drift - anyone recommend a phone mount/cradle?
Thanks for that, lets hope you get it working

Finally had time to plug this in and try it. Seems to work fine!

I bought one but can't find an SD Slot so may not suit my 2016 car

Depends what AMI system you have. You have looked behind the door on the right of the boot forward right at the front by the bulkhead? (this is for coupe - I have no idea on Roadster).
The little black box has a flip-up cover - the SD slot is behind this cover

Hmm, I looked in the nearside of the boot which had units stacked together but no flap. I'll have another dig . 2016v8vs AMI2.

I’m assuming you have a coupe. Open the boot, squat down and lookup and to the left, right up by the LH boot lamp, as far as you can go. You should see a leather tag on a side panel further forward (towards the engine) than the lamp itself - a torch can help. Pull the leather tag and a “door” should start to flex open - it’s not on a hinge as such, but it does open. Bend it gently so that it passes the lamp body and, behind it, there should be the black Garmin module, with the flip-up cover. The SD card slot us behind this cover

I have a 2016 N430 and discovered my Garmin unit is located on the bottom left hand side of the boot under the tyre repair kit! Lift the carpet item and there is a small drop down door you need to open to locate the SD card reader.

To help, here's a picture of the Garmin unit in my 2015 V8V Coupe, cover opened, back of the boot, LH side. You can see the LH boot lamp top of image
You have to gently bend the cover past the lamp.
The white ring is the emergency fuel filler release

And this is where the slot is (which I couldn't initially find until I took this photo!)

Anybody know where the Garmin unit is located on a Rapide (MY15)? Not obviously in either side of the boot compartments, nor under the floor AFAICS.

thanks!

Just so others know I am going to answer my own question:

Thanks to Aston Owners, I can confirm that the Rapide navigation unit is under the passenger side (RHD) rear seat. Relatively easy to get at but you need to pull the carpets (velcroed) away with the front seat pushed forward - otherwise you can't get your head in there!
