2009 MK6 Golf 2.0 TDI Air Con pump

The clutch bolt or nut thing sheared off the AC pump clutch on our trusty old MK6 and the missus can't be doing without AC.
I can see a green plaque on the original pump, which says it's made by Sanden, but I can't find them in the aftermarket. Cheapest I can find is a genuine replacement from ebay for £700, but I've seen Denso ones for less than half that. Has anyone tried a Denso pump and had good luck with it?
The car is only worth a few packets of crisps and a Mars Bar, so we don't want to spend too much on it.
