Lowering the tone somewhat, this is my latest addition to go along with my Rolex Explorer, Seiko Kinetic and for a bit of fun bright orange G Shock. I humbly present something that on paper I would have been horrified by, but in the metal (and yes it is full metal) I have fallen for this cheeky minx.

A real bargain at 50% off and I actually planned to get the silver variant, but missed the boat, by happy accident I am now rather glad I ended up with the gold.

Well, it has to be gold for a dictator.

I like it. G-Shock shouldn't be quiet and unassuming.

A friend was wearing the 'other' version of this at lunch the other day - black dial, white numerals. I thought it looked very smart.
Ta. The white dial versions of the GT XL were limited editions. Mine is from 2006. They are nice watches & the straps smell great smile

Best photo of a Marathon I have seen..! Strap goes very well.

(Goes off to look at Marathon watches…)
Thanks, the Marathon straps are rubbish so this is on a Zuludiver "Desert Sand" nylon strap with the sandblasted Octopod buckle.

Do you not think the bimetallic bracelet is more lairy? I think I'd quite like to see it on a jubilee. Maybe that will be next year's 'innovation'.

Cleaned the patina off for the first time this week. A few minutes in ketchup did the trick

Sharing what's been on my wrist for the last year.

Intended to keep it for weekend use only, but ended up wearing it all week at work too since my NH35 swapped SKX seems to have totally given up the ghost.
