The only difference between white and green is that white asparagus is grown without sunlight to subdue Chlorophyll via photosynthesis. Like producing forced rhubarb in caves or in chimney pots with lids on.
Wife is Dutch and won’t touch green asparagus, preferring the white. I think the white is horrible. It’s fun in our house!
Tell her it's being starved of light, tortured! Vegetables have feelings hehe

Very messy bowl but it’s my latest attempt at making bucatini. It’s about the right thickness now and the hole works!

Had another crack at firecracker beef and a spicy Korean cucumber salad. Definitely going to be a regular over the summer.
Both look great. Do you have a recipe?

I used both the above as a start and followed to the letter they are great. I’ve since added lime juice and more fresh chillis to both but I do like s bit of heat.

Thanks for that. I've just tried the cucumber recipe for lunch and enjoyed it.

I'd agree that it can take quite a lot more chilli.

My biggest annoyance in Virgin Airlines is them dropping beef from their Menu - virtual signalling re their Carbon footprint.

What shop?

My kids will like this - tell me you didn't egg wash the top?

The butter on the mash needs folding through....

Whats the gig?

Hope you’re all well chaps.

This was a very tasty piece of Wagyu rump, with a mustard peppercorn herb sauce and some twice fried flattened chips. Probably one of the tastiest plates I’ve had in ages.
