All good. Put him to bed last night. But after a few minutes he was whimpering. New house, strange surroundings, etc. So I slept on the sofa with him ion his bed. He was as good as gold.

He's a bit possessive over his food and water, which is understandable never having shared a house with other animals.

He was out in the field with the girls when they were playing with the ball. He's not much of a runner, bless him but he was trying hard. biggrin

Here is the Beast of Exmoor in his new natural habitat. He loves being outside and just mooching about.

Richard, Laura,

Thank you again for the wonderful home you've given to Teddy. Things were looking so bleak for him, and now he's truly living his best life. It's lovely seeing him enjoying the outdoors and the company of other dogs. He seems to be settling better than we ever dared hope.

And also thanks to the kind and generous people who've sent gifts to welcome him, also to Cappo and Fermit for their support too.

When I first posted on here, I was hoping that at best, someone would know of a shelter with a space. Never dreamt this would happen.

I'm sure you know this already, but don't let that become a habit, or he'll come to expect it.

He probably won't be able to tolerate the snoring and farting on a long term basis...

I don't think Teddy minded too much to be honest.

Who's cutting onions?!

Fantastic thread. So happy with the ending (apart from the farting). smile

A great result (not ending), and like others here, was very happy to do my bit with a couple of small gifts. Hopefully Teddy will settle soon and enjoy himself.

Keep the updates coming, feel part of Teddys journey.

Well done to all, especially JBS and family.

We've taken swabs for his DNA. Be a couple of weeks before we know exactly what he is. But favourite is Brindle Anatolian shepherd crossed with 'something'.
