I'm taking my parents to the December 15th show in Leeds

He was very funny when I last saw him must be 10 years ago now, hoping this isn't disappointing
I'm sure you'll love it. Maybe I've painted a darker picture than I should have, but I was just trying to work out why I didn't love it as much as I'd hoped, and if there was a reason why, I'm still not sure.

I’m going on the 1st December in Manchester and keen to see him having never seen him live before.

Interesting comments from those that have seen him already!

Saw him last night at the O2, with Noel Gallagher from Oasis as a guest.

Still chuckling to myself today, really enjoyed it.

A few stories I’d read in his latest book over the Xmas break, so I knew what was coming.

Anybody who can hang from a hot air balloon, 50 ft above the crowd playing a shovel, and have the 20k crowd jumping deserves a round of applause from me.

Interesting. - both my brothers went to see him a couple of weeks ago in Birmingham. They were both underwhelmed to put it mildly. One of them just said it was st. The other offered a bit more of a thoughtful summary. Said exactly the same, something was missing, said that the material/delivery came across as very dated, and though that his heart wasn’t in it. Shame, because he’s a naturally funny bloke, but maybe just been doing it too long??
We went to see Peter Kay in August last year in Sheffield. It was one of his first return dates IIRC. The place was sold out and there was a real buzz amongst the crowd. But……

When he came on stage I was shocked at how Peter Kay looked. He looked like a 80yr old bloke who was wearing a dark coloured toupee. I wouldn’t have recognised him if he was stood next to me in the supermarket.

His skit was mostly amusing, but rarely hilarious. To me, his performance had lost a lot of that old sparkle. The magic just simply wasn’t there.

I wish him well for the future. He’s a very funny guy and I’ve enjoyed almost all of his material, but he’s clearly not a very well bloke. Personally I think it would be best if he bowed out gracefully and spent the rest of his days sat on a beach drinking margaritas.

This current workload must surely be taking its toll on him, and if he became too ill to finish off this long duration of gigs, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Retire Peter Kay. You bloody well deserve it.

I forgot to post when we saw him in London.

Had a really good night, he didn't use a lot of his old material but delivered new material in a similar style, encore for me was great. His appearance though as posted above, I really didn't recognise him. I've managed to find a new picture of him which I will post below.

I think he’s been really poorly

"Noel" was a guest the night I was there... apart from Noel was also in New York doing a gig.

We were smack bang in the middle of the second row on the second night in Manchester (no, I have no idea how I managed to get those seats!) and when he came out we almost didn’t recognise him.
Brilliantly funny over the years but as above, he should book it, pack it and go and relax.
He most definitely deserves it.

And again last night at the O2 show I went to... hehe

Always loved Peter Kay and last night, he was very, VERY good. My taste in comedy is pretty basic and PK appeals to me and his stuff last night was funny although there were bits repeated. Sat there with my mouth open when he came on as he looks so different and like others have said, there's a part in the show where he has pics of his Nana with him and he's lost a hell of a lot, 4-5 stone maybe?

The encore was brilliant.

My youngest two treated me to tickets for my birthday and I'll remember it for a long time. They loved him so for me, job jobbed. Great night out and so what if he used some of his old material, it's still funny. I will say that at 56, I'm probably his ideal demographic to enjoy.

Took my wife to one of his shows at the 02 last year, it was on the day of her 50th Birthday, it was a good night.

Really enjoyed the show in December-23 and decided to book tickets for the closing end of his tour, and snagged some floor seats a couple of rows from the stage for September-25 in Newcastle on Gigs and Tours again.

Itll probably be the same show but thats fine by me.

Plus if he ends up cancelling between now and then its not the end of the world given I got a chance to see him already.
