It's a beautiful day in Preston. Got lots of gardening done, all tidied up.
Now sat out with a nice bottle of wine.
It's even too warm for the staffy, she's led in the shade.

The weather forecast for tomorrow BH Monday has been gradually improving over the last few days and was looking to be generally sunny with occasional part cloudier spells. We’ve just planned family to come over and have a picnic/BBQ outside.

In the last hour, the forecast on Netweather has changed and now it’s showers and moderate rain from late morning, lasting all afternoon.

Humph!

Not sure where you are, but the models have been predicting a poor day in the South for most of the week. The dangers of using a single app/website for your forecast!

Meanwhile - thunder warnings:

Mayfair in the village today, classic weather for it. Tossing hay bales in the rain is no fun!

Bedfordshire - so far enough up to not quite be considered South (I think)?!

It’s turned out to be a fairly overcast, threatening day. We’ve had enough spots so far that I’ve not got the car out the garage, but it’s not actually thrown it down yet!

In West Berks it’s been chuffing wet. Far wetter than forecast, and a thoroughly damp day. The pig was quiet, though.

Wife and daughter wanted to wander around Englefield. Called it off.

And my iPad did me a dis-service by correcting the pub to pig. hehe

We were in The Bell, and sat inside which is almost impossible on a regular bank holiday Monday.

Stunning. I’ve not heard of Kessingland for years. My dad was born in Lowestoft and we used to visit family there regularly when I was young, and much later on I took a camper van to a camp site in Kessingland. Lots of happy memories!

Here we go... improved spell of weather starts here.

Up in to the low 20s for the south as we pass through the weekend... before we head back to where we've been getmecoat

Please don’t say we’re going backwards again! Glorious this morning, we need more of this!

I've been speaking to people 'up north' and apparently yesterday was glorious (talking about Manchester and Derby).

I’m in south Manchester and it’s been pleasant but not wall to wall blue skies. Quite a lot of grey skies.

I’m starting to keep an eye on the long term forecasts now for my wedding in June. The Met Office deep dive indicated that early signs say that June is looking good. So that inevitably means that it’s going to be a washout.

We're in the same boat but for the last weekend in May. It's in a marquee in our field here in Aberdeenshire so I've got my fingers very firmly crossed!

Congratulations for when the time comes.

Outdoor marquee and outdoor ceremony in Greater Manchester for us. Don’t know what we were thinking.

Haha, we went to one a few years back in a marquee on a beach on the west coast of Scotland in October. Unsurprisingly, It was wet and blowing a gale but was still easily the best wedding I've been to. Don't think a bit of rain necessarily equals misery, just embrace it, even if it means the bride has to wear wellies!
