Sancho looks brilliant for BD tonight, the player you thought you’d signed

Just logged in to say that. He never put in a performance for us like he has tonight. No idea what went wrong, but what a player he could have been if his head was right / we managed him better. He just never got started when Ole signed him.

We're cursed.

I don't think he could do that in the Prem though. He seems more suited to European football.

Yeah possibly. PSG weren't exactly pressing monsters, but nevertheless he did play well. Still, if it puts his value up there is at least that.

He’s been pretty poor for them overall though , he did turn up last night .
The commentators though feeling sorry for a man on 300k a week who couldn’t turn up for training because he plays PlayStation into the early hours , was a bit sickening .

Same amount of goals and assists for Dortmund as Antony has for us in the same time frame. Dortmund can have him.

Fair enough, I don't watch any European leagues, was just surprised how good he looked last night

Thats fine, they can have him back for what they made us pay, that was presumably how much they value him at as they always knew his game so well.

Hmm. 36 apps this season (Antony) vs. 20 apps (Sancho).

3 goals apiece. An interesting comparison nonetheless.

I think the comparison is from Jan when the Sancho loan started.

one good performance doesn't make you world class. As we all know it starts with training and putting in the effort which was what ETH had an issue with, he's the type that after a performance like this UTD of old would give him another 50k per week but hopefully those days are behind us.

Agree however that he hasn't really got many goals/assists, results is what its about, he can dribble all he wants but if it leads to nothing then so what?

His attitude does not fit with how UTD players should behave, for me I would rather sell him and use the money for somebody who wants to be there. He can take Anthony with him too perhaps he can improve there too.

Yes it is.

Antony gets lauded as st etc (which he has been really) yet Sancho has one decent game and all of a sudden he's amazing and EtH must be a st manager blah blah blah...

Good interview between EtH and G Nev dropped this morning. It's clear that the manager hasn't got the defence that he wants and with 30 different defensive formations this season, it's impossible to play consistently.

He's definitely the man for the job imo and needs time to develop the squad.

100% this, he has needed to clear out the deadwood from 10+ seasons of bad buying but the backroom is not competent to deliver. Once this is sorted hopefully will see see a turnaround of playing style and make the way up the table
