I've just seen some prices of the food there. It's unreasonably priced to say the least! I don't know how they can do it with a straight face. $170 for a tuna poke bowl for example!
Plenty of ***** cash to spend in that area of the world.

The fairground atmosphere of the whole event is just trashy. How many “personalities” will poor Brundle chase on the pit walk?
Donald Trump and Taylor Swift will be there-bonus points to Martin for a 10 sec encounter.

I think there is some kind of race also -that’s the rumour ( or rumor) anyway (or anyways).

Yeehaw!

Don't forget the "discretionary" tip too.

I saw those food prices, that has to be in an exclusive area as opposed to being the norm?
Ah yes, the stupid tipping culture. Most of the payment machine options start at 18 or 20%, going up to 25 and 30%. That's insane for a takeaway coffee at a hotel, costing $8.75 which just requires someone to put a cup under the machine and press go.

Or $11 for a beer, which is less than 3 at the local store.

Wages are based on the tipping model. It's simply a different way to get to the same price.

Tbh if you decide to go to the Hard Rock bar on GP weekend then you know you're going to get shafted. On the flip side you've got people taking a G650 12 hours each way to watch a horse race yesterday.

They could put any $$ up - the people are who paying will still pay.

The US takes event price gouging to a totally different level, but for some reason the punters just accept that they’ll get mightily ripped off for food and drink when they go to watch sports or concerts. That seafood restaurant had better have trackside seating for the race if they’re charging that much to eat!

And I was annoyed at paying $55 for three drinks at Madison square garden.

Must have been about 2010 and afternoon tea (that was effectively cream tea and a sandwich), was about £80 in the Burj Al-Arab. I see it’s about £120 now.

Yep, a load of scripted nonsense. They should get Horner in the hot seat to field a few not so carefully selected questions from the audience. Think it would be a ratings winner.

Amazing isn't it. I thought it was fake until someone who was there told me it wasn't. Lovely.
