Panamera S.T. Turbo - having borrowed a boggo hybrid, this would tick so many boxes. Can't see myself coping with anything lower to the ground or more overtly sporty as old age sets in.
This was my thoughts, but a full fat RR SVR that's been breathed on somewhat for added silliness might get the nod instead.

For me, if I could ever get my hands on one, it would be the Giulia Quadrifoglio,

If money was no object and it could only be one car I'd have to scratch this itch, possibly with a little tweaking from singer to get it exactly to my liking.

It’s an interesting question, I love the 355 and the Caterham, but using either of them daily would start to become a chore, the ‘21 X5M I’m currently wafting about in is lovely and comfortable and also very quick when you want it to be, but I couldn’t imagine having it as my only car til the end of days. Then my classic BMs are wonderful and would be incredible daily’s, but lack in ‘excitement’.

I think my choice would have to be a C7 or C8 Z06 Corvette, my old C6 was a great car that gave me a massive smile yet was incredibly comfy and very easy to use for daily use, I’ve driven the C7 and the C8 and they are very much the same, just with more creature comforts.

With kids it’s either an RS4 or Alpina. Without little people it would be a 911.

In a no-dog situation I might change my plans and go for a Bentley Continental T. Old style, good for a European tour.......

When I got my 370z I wanted a car that I could keep for a long time, potentially to last me out. It still needed to be practical enough that I could keep using it and reliable.

The 370z has a big, relatively lowly stressed port injected engine, not too much in the way of modern electronics and parts are pretty readily available. They are generally very reliable - many in the US have over 200k and some over 300k so hopefully that is a reasonable portent.

Mine was low mileage (under 19k) when I got it and its status as a weekend car means that it won't pile the miles on so its unlikely to wear out anytime soon. Its underside was pretty clean when I got it and I have just treated the underside for a second time in my ownership. It is garaged so that is covered. It has been serviced - oil and filters changed - every year since new and I am doing the same so hopefully the mechanical side holds up.

It is the semi-auto so at least some of the bases are covered as I become more decrepit and most importantly it has reasonable storage space so it can be used for longer trips if needed and has plenty of room for the dog/s in the back.
