I see two that float around the area and they look superb in the flesh. I’d probably want a less discrete exhaust, only a bit, if ever I could stretch to one.

Why bother making an issue of this thing’s weight? It’s Bentley and normally gripes surely don’t apply: the sort of person who buys one of these doesn’t give a tinker’s cuss about weight, or emissions, or economy.

Who would have known the cache that comes with owning a Bentley.

I’d love to try one to see how much more comfortable they are to compared to something like a 5 series or E class which in my mind are great.

I admire the brand but if I was an extremely wealthy millionaire I think I’d go a Rolls Royce.

There’s something hidden for you to find when you buy one?

I think most people fall into two camps where your either a Rolls man or a Bentley man much like how it is with Ford and Vauxhall for the peasants.

I’m firmly on the Bentley side and think this looks epic. Saw a Cullinan today and thought it looked gopping.

I really like the post-VAG Bentleys, so if I was looking for a money-no-object saloon I'd have one.

But sadly my budget is sadly lacking - lovely cars though!

Having experience of both, if I had to choose one it would be Bentley.

RR is very nice but you don't have to scratch the surface very deeply to find BMW. That applies to the product and the service.

Bentley we know is VAG, but you have to dig deeper to find it.

I've been round both factories and Rolls Royce has parts bins labelled BMW. There is nothing whatsoever at Bentley that suggests who the parent company is.

I have a lot of respect for Rolls Royces. But Bentleys excite me..

Honestly have no experience of either so that’s quite interesting.

If I drive both I’d probably prefer Bentley as well because it offers a sportier drive.

I’ve no idea why I like a Rolls Royce because despite finding them pretty cool they are certainly ugly!

Some of the Rolls Royces handle very well and go very fast. You just wouldn't buy one for that.

A part of Rolls Royce's appeal has to be that it is, well, a Rolls Royce. The name has been a metaphor for "the best" forever, rightly or wrongly.

If you want ultimate comfort, whilst listening to your preferred music on a HiFi quality sound system and politely telling the outside world to go away, you want a Rolls Royce. If you are prepared to sacrifice just a little bit of comfort, you can get places a lot faster in a Bentley.

Rolls Royce has embarked upon a process of uglification, that is true. The current Phantom notwithstanding, which is lovely.

The position that Rolls Royce holds in the heart of the nation is also an interesting one. You can mince about in a car the size of an African country and receive relatively little attention, if you've bought your car in the right colour. Bentleys seem to draw more.

I accumulated some Rolls Royce merch and sold it on Ebay a while ago. I almost had to give it away. When I've done the same with Porsche or Bentley stuff it has attracted far better prices. Rolls Royce isn't on the radar of many people and I don't think it is an aspirational marque.

To me, Rolls Royce is equated with wealth, but not taste. In fact, I think it's probably the most vulgar car brand I can think of.
Bentley are synonymous with money and refined taste (to me anyway) and would win that battle without a shadow of a doubt.

Being a bit of a Bentley fan, the Bentayga annoys me. I don't mind that it exists, I mind that it is design dyslexic.

Now put a picture of a Cullinan up and compare. Bentayga is no looker but looks positively restrained next to that monstrosity.

I don't like the Cullinan at all.

My point being that neither marque has the monopoly on vulgarity or elegance.
