Thanks for taking us along on that - what a trip! We've been on a couple of Northern Spain / Portugal hoons and they are absolutely fabulous. Your trip has given me the kick I need to start planning this year's trip so thank you for that as well! biggrin Do you have any more info on which road the "30km stretch which serves as a development route for Porsche" is?

I can also recommend a journey over to the Pyrenees from there too. There's some magical roads up there and many are pretty much deserted. Make sure to stop in Logroño in the heart of Rioja for the astoundingly delicious bar snacks. And wine. hehe

I documented some routes from our 2021 trip of you need some inspiration, starting half way down the page:

before I start thinking of spec, though, I want to see it myself.
This is brilliant.

I like the look of the 12 cylinder. But colour is going to be extremely important.
Waiting to hear what spec you go for ... if it is anyhting like the Pista, it will be amazing.

Oh lovely! I just spent a bit too long browsing that thread - full on tour blues going on over here. That 30km route is the N311 between Boticas and Venda Nova. It's unbelievable. It's so good we did it twice, and it's better backwards imho.

The next trip in a few weeks is indeed to the Pyrenees! I'm just not sure which car to take, I was planning to take the Pista so I can crack 10,000mi in that - but with the 812 coming in and my other half supposed to join, I'm leaning to that.

Yeah, it's gonna be a bit of an interesting one. I really want to NOT do the usual dark blue/dark green/dark red or dark purple type color, I sort of wanted something quite loud and out there, but this is quite possibly the worst car to take a risk on as it seems incredibly sensitive.

What a great thread, loving the cars, especially the Pista. Your GSD is stunning by the way. We have two rescued GSDs, so also have a seperate dog/fishing/tip run car, but it's not in the same league as yours!
