I didn't realise just how much 355s are going for these days, there doesn't seem to be much in it value wise between a 355 and a 430 any more.
Even so, for a project car that appears to be in an extremely sorry state this is crazy money. For £15k more you could land yourself an immaculate condition car, and this looks like it would take more than that to bring it up to the same state.
Someone is either very brave or very stupid.

Yes they do. If you turn up and the car is mis-described you still owe your multi-thousand pound fees to CC. Hence no real downside to the seller glossing over some issues as if the buyer does pull out it's no loss to them. Plus a buyer is more likely to put up with some issues the seller "forgot" to mention if they have to swallow thousands of pounds in fees if they walk away. That's the primary reason I am staggered anyone buys a car unseen on CC.

This is eBay though, and with eBay it's the seller that pays the fees, plus they are much, much, much lower.

That yellow car "requires some work" (cam belt, new scuttle pannel, re-calibrating the seats), it has had a LHD-RHD conversion, and hasn't been run in 8 years other than to refresh the MOT. So not a clean car, but it runs, apparently "drives superb", and is in way better condition than the one in the auction. For about the same money I I know which I would rather buy.

Have you read the description? It was LHD now converted to RHD!

I’ve had my 355 for a few years now and never had the stereo turned on whilst driving, why would you when they sound so epic, this one’s had a £5K stereo upgrade! How can that be better than the standard eight cylinder symphony?
