I really want Fury to win, it’s too close to call and my head says Usyk on points.

What seems to exist is a belief that an overrated boxer who has avoided fights, been inactive and has abused his body for years is going to transform into a killer machine after 10 weeks. Much seems to be based on him shedding some timber. I mentioned Conteh in an earlier. Add Hatton to the list. Fury will be fighting probably the definition of a consummate professional with an impeccable record and history of activity and living the life. Oh, but Fury's bigger!
I like to ask people if Wayne Rooney, who is 6 months younger than Cristiano Ronaldo, could spend 3 months getting back into shape and be competitive in terms of footballing ability on the pitch with Ronaldo?

Nobody thinks he'd be able to recover back to anywhere close that kind of standard, I think the same logic, though not quite as extreme, applies here, like you've said.

Im in the Usyk camp, for the sake of humanity. Cannot see the appeal of the Fury's. Bad for boxing from a professional point of view - drug cheat, ego, big John the muppet.

We need to get back some credibility and Fury winning just goes backwards even more.

Usyk by pts, or a draw as you know.........it makes more money for everyone.

I wonder if the weight loss could drain Fury a bit as well. He's lost a lot of mass but some of that mass would be storing energy. In his last half dozen fights he's been very economical with his movement he doesn't have that available to him Saturday he's going to have to maintain a pace to keep up with Usyk....

I see Usyk’s team have complained about the canvas. The probably want to make it softer for when Usyk claims a nut shot again biggrin

They are saying there are uneven seams which prevent a trip hazard. Nothing to do with trying to gain an advantage by the looks of it, just flagging something that impacts the safety of both fighters equally.

Always important to check the canvas, Fury knows that well.

I was being facetious. Part of me has an irrational dislike of Usyk and wants to see him get taken down by a body shot. I’m still in the camp he robbed Dubois and his cockyness gets on my nerves. Fury is a bellend, but I don’t have to watch him carry on with juggling and dad dancing smile

Usyk is the cocky one?

I can't imagine many people are offended by Usyk's personality more than they are Fury's! smile

He's still flabby and got back fat and love handles. There's definitely some additional mass still there.

I saw a clip of Fury being knocked down on his US debut. Different body shape altogether to now. He must have been eating contaminated meat at that time

Robbed Dubois laugh had it not been ruled a low blow he would have bitten down his gumshield and still beaten Dubois. I think people think he was knocked out by the low blow. He took his recovery time but had her not had that recovery time there absolutely no way it would have made any difference to the result. The actual low blow call was borderline sure but it definitely didn't hand the fight to Usyk.

I've been wondering exactly the same thing

The best thing for him is effectively he's had 2 back to back camps so the weight loss isn't too drastic.

I'll say one thing about this fight; it's certainly very polarising and everyone is talking about it

It's a generational event being the unificational match and one that will be remembered foe a lot of different reasons

I actually think Tyson Fury is a decent chap and will make a good champion if he wasn't manipulated by John Fury...he's the bad apple in the bowl

I wonder if this could be a huge anti climax with lots of hugging? Looking forward to the night but the build up is weird.

Not sure what would suit Usyk, he won't want to be in there.

I read earlier that Jake Paul has 9 wins in 10 professional fights smile

Predictably there's been a lot of chat about the Paul/Tyson fight being a sham but I believe Paul is daft/egotistical enough to think that he can beat Tyson in a real fight and that it will happen. If it does, he'll need a much bigger beard to cushion the effect of Tyson's first uppercut. Teddy Atlas has made some interesting comments about good fighters losing some speed and reflexes over time but never losing power. He said that if it's a real fight it will be difficult for Paul to survive the first two rounds.
