Spent yesterday riding two large bikes around an outdoor karting track.

I never got used to the sound of scraping pegs

It's normally followed by the introduction of yourself to the tarmac. A warning to change your body position or the bike will do it for you.

I agree completely.

I tried to hang off the triumph and reduce the lean angle, but a combination of fatigue/lacking strength/flexibility and the fact that the bars were just too far away from me made it bloody difficult.

Good job we're all different - that looks like the sort of place I'd ride miles to avoid!

Around here, the place to be seen seems to be Jeremy Clarkson's farm, people go there from miles away, seemingly, just to stand about in long queues...

This is more the level of "people engagement" that I like...
Agreed

All my rides and pics are a motorcycle and countryside

My daughter usually comments "shame there's a motorcycle ruining that picture"

What state is the road in? Do like a ride down that way but heard it's pretty rough.

Moanthebairns said it was in a right state a couple of weeks back.

A fking ste hole. I drove it a year ago going to the o/hs one night and I passed two cars getting put onto flat beds with punctures. It's actually worse this year. I wouldn't take my fking mountain bike around there. If that was my local road I'd be knocking on the councillors door. It was like a third world country. But don't say that to anyone that's down there as they seem to find it an insult.

Good to see the bug splats coming back, the ban on certain pesticides is a good thing IMO, My car hardly gets any flies compared to 20 yrs ago. I wonder if aero changes have also changed that?

Just picked this up for the summer. Only managed 40miles so far but really enjoying it. A big change from the R18 I had last year.

Was that an R18 got a good rate as spouse works for them or their work has a deal with BMW?

Is that a Z900? They tick quite a few boxes for me, apparently the LED headlamps are pretty good, except faster and less economical.

Still as bad, especially when you get into the D&G side. They are doing some repairs on the edges but it's not to a good standard. Noticed lots of riders coming into SML from the North side, getting a coffee then heading back avoiding the SML to Moffat section completely

Bob, the fella on the right had a bad accident last Saturday on his Kawasaki ZZR1400, he was ran off the road by a car on his way to meet me.

He has a badly broken Left forearm, broken Femur, Knee cap and the cup (acetabulum) which hold the ball of your hip joint, he's also black/Blue/Orange/Red all over his body with bruises.

He'll be 76 years old in a few weeks and is adamant that'll he be back on a bike as soon as he can.

Silly old fka.

I just came off Mottram Moor to Ladybower Inn in the Peak Distrixt and they are resurfacing the road with great piles of loose gravel. On one patch its about 2-3inchrs of gravel, no channels to ride in. I had a two wheel drift ??

Thanks Derbyshire Council. You never fail to find places to dump your aggravate gravel.
