Thanks for the positive comments. It’s actually an Alpinist SPB157 (blue face) on a aftermarket strap from Watch Gecko (the blue strap it was on made it a bit too… blue). Found it online at an independent jeweller and I got a reasonable discount.

Another first time poster but longtime lurker on the watch forum.

I've always liked Rolex Explorer II's and when I happened to see this Seiko, (SSK023K1) I had to buy one. It's my first Seiko and I'm really impressed.

I'm not really a watch person, in fact I last wore a watch about 20 years ago and that was some knock off Diesel thing I bought whilst backpacking and ended up swapping it for a bus ticket from Thailand to Cambodia! However my wife recently bought me this Seiko and I absolutely love it, it's perfect for me

How's the bracelet on it? I'm a bit of a Seiko fanboy but generally feel like the bracelet is the weakest part (also easiest to replace though).

It actually came with a leather strap, but I preferred a bracelet so the store supplied and fitted a Seiko one. I like it, it seems decent enough but I haven't really got a reference point in terms of quality or longevity

My first and only “modded” watch.

I bought it as I wanted a clasp adjustment on a Seiko.

Ultimately I didn’t rate it much and it’s sold now.

This arrived in the post this morning, I've bought it for my wife, 34mm (my wrist, not hers).

Chucked an orange rubber strap on this Seiko 5 and going to start wearing this for a while.

Mostly Seiko and the BB is on a z22 Seiko strap. Think that's enough purchasing for now..
