I usually have a MCD's once a year or so, sometimes 3 years, sometimes twice a year. There isn't a local one around here, most are about 1/2 hr drives.
You don't have a local Macs! There are two within 5 minutes drive away and another 5 within 15 minutes near me, 3 of them are 24 hour ones.Whenever I go to stay with my relatives on their farm I get milk shake withdrawal symptoms as their local Mac is 30 miles away although when I was there last year they were building one only 12 miles away.
Although at £3 (well £2.95) I think the shakes are becoming quite expensive.

I’ve just had a big tasty with Frank’s hot sauce mayo. I was about to order when I heard someone at the counter ask for a big tasty and be told they have the burgers but not the sauce so they could pick any other sauce they wanted. So I queued up behind him and ordered one with the franks hot sauce mayo from the mcspicy special.
The server said that often just before change over of the time bound specials they run out of a sauce before anything else so on the last day or maybe two you can get them with whatever sauce you want to use up stock
I ordered a Big Tasty with Big Mac sauce a few years ago. Came out well. The server said that often just before change over of the time bound specials they run out of a sauce before anything else so on the last day or maybe two you can get them with whatever sauce you want to use up stock

I keep reading something about McDonalds changing their burger buns to those awful brioche things with the shiny tops that look like they've been varnished! I do hope not. I know they're all the rage but every one I've ever had has been horrid.
I don't like them either. Plain bread buns/breadcakes for me. When making a burger at home I even prefer white sliced bread. Non of this fancy stuff, but then I am a Yorkshireman!!!zarjaz1991 said:

Part of this is also a new way of them cooking the burgers with fresh onions and seasoning or something best burger its apparently called.Probably the same old ste as usual

My latest guilty hangover cure is a double sausage and egg McMuffin, no egg, but add extra cheese and extra patty. Greasy af but hits the spot. Oh, does it hit the spot!
So basically a triple cheese burger but with sausage? Sounds promising....Motoring12345 said:
My local ones have started doing the new cooking method that they introduced in America.
The buns are now shiny and a brioche hybrid. The patties are cooked with onions. It tastes slightly more umami.
I had one yesterday too. You can barely notice the difference to be fair and the buns are like you say a brioche hybrid so they don’t taste sweet or anything they just have a shine to them The buns are now shiny and a brioche hybrid. The patties are cooked with onions. It tastes slightly more umami.
