Me neither. Sometimes I read whole pages on PH and feel I'm just not in on the joke. I guess my internet forum debating skills just aren't that good.
I interpreted it as being about the guy who made a gross reference to a vertical bacon sandwich.
Gold star for you.

Christ, pops into thread after a while noticing it's expanded by many pages. Really wish hadn't done so, plumbing the depths now.

The Diane Abbott threads were bad enough but really!

Don't care for AR but this tarnishes the entire place. As said right at the beginning not in my name.

Probably a bad choice of words where Angela is concerned to be honest

Indeed. It's also amusing seeing those who almost wear it as a badge of honour without realising it says far more about them than they realise.

I think Angela was part of todays announcements. Clearly Labour not sidelining her.

I suspect SKS would secretly be quite relieved if she were shown to have done something wrong and had to resign, but obviously can't give that impression publicly.

I think she has a lot of support at the union/union member level.

She has a power base and an elected position but I don't think Starmer will be sorry to see her go.

I see Starmer is proposing funding his election pledges by tackling tax dodgers. Is that a sly dig at Ang 😉

The thing is, if she’s guilty of anything she’s been accused of, SKS needs to sack her.

  • IF* she's guilty of tax dodging (ie willfully avoiding tax - which is highly unlikely IMO), then she'll have to go even though the amount owed is tiny, which is a shame as we need more conviction politicians like her - instead of the incompetent grifters we have for a decade and a half.

Can he though? I thought she was directly elected by the party members?
Could she be requested to stand down?

I suspect that more Tory MP's will be looking over their shoulders than Labour ones including Rayner

More importantly she is popular with voters - particularly in the seats Labour lost to the Cons in 2019. Important role to play in Labour’s campaign.

Well she might be a convicted politician if the matter turns out to be serious. Either way I wouldn't be laying too much hope as to her competence

She very much lacks the intellect that Diane Abbott clearly once had.
