This is a nice style house - love it.

that would be a nice place.

But this leads me to a serious gripe on almost all listings for all houses, but especially on ones like this. Very little info or pictures of the garage / workshops. When we were last looking the number of places that just said "double garage" grrr but how big is that? 5x5m 7x7m? how high inside? any beams preventing you jacking up a van? what is the floor like? all key points I would say.

Nice house, and a proper size to live in. Just a shame it's next to a big smelly chicken farm.

The photos are a joke. No photos of inside of garaging, outbuilding or barns. None of outdoor seating area or the pod. But 2 pictures of cows...

Edited to add:- The video remedies some of it.

Forget the fact that it's in Swindon. On a main road, it is quite lovely. Georgian/Victorian with an annexe.

I don't know Swindon, so I'm not going to comment on that element, but that is a good example of what I regard as pawn - cracking house, within decent sized grounds (0.5-1 acre is perfect for me) and yet, you're also within easy walking distance to stuff.

To be fair, if you were really interested you would contact the agent and ask for a viewing or for the dimensions etc.

I have to say there is more than enough info on that house to make a decision to view or not, full plan dimensions of the house and outbuildings, plus video of the house and grounds and pictures.

While we're on EA listing gripes, it annoys me when there's a property with some acreage beyond a normal garden and they don't show you a land plan, so you have to go on the satellite view to try to work out what's included.

Big old Welsh pile for the price of an offer. I like a verandah, and who doesn't want a clock tower? POW camp in WW2, interestingly.

They've done a number on the character of the place but shouldn't too hard to restore back. Nice pad

Repaint the exterior, sort the Wickes rads, the rest seems pretty cosmetic. It hasn't had the arse ripped out of it, unlike some.

Repaint the interior too, after you've ripped the 'Live, Laugh, Love' slogans from every bloody room...

But yes, nice place and they haven't obliterated the character, just buried it under tat.

Agreed, there's a lot of appeal to that place.

Strong agree. Another pet peeve is if the agent doesn’t include a North Indicator on the floor plans.

And how hard can it be to put the right location on the map, lots of them are way off.

ETA: probably not expensive enough to be considered 'pawn'.

I think the cheapest we've had on here is, roughly, £250k(ish) - price doesn't necessarily denote pawn

Although the address is more Llandudno Junction than Conway.

It's closer to £325k, plus 10-15% costs.

This has been on the market a while, touted privately before being listed too. I know this as when we were looking at moving a bit further out due to no commute etc it was on the list. In good condition but 100% needs a bit of reinstatement inside. I think the current owners moved there from somewhere very close by.
