We get loads in the summer. They really like me for some reason. Get bitten most years.
Horseflies can get fked. I’ve been bitten on average once every year or two, and the reaction seems to get more extreme every time. These days I immediately take a big dose of antihistamine tablets and ibuprofen, wash the site and apply antihistamine cream.

Ticks! Horrid! especially with the risks of Lyme disease if you get bitten.

They seem to just love me. Our garden has a family of deer that live here. So it’s no surprise I’m digging two or three ticks out of my body every otherday from March till October.

PH points awarded for the use of the word "horrid" and the fact your garden has a family of deer in it.

I'm surprised you don't have a man to do the tick digging for you! :-)

People who say 'End of' on forum posts. Doubly so for people who use it real life.

It's boorish and arrogant and only shows that they are closed minded and stupid.

Closed minded because they don't want to hear any other opinion but their own, and stupid because they cannot formulate a coherent response to an opinion they do not agree with.

If you must insist on doing this then a simple 'On this matter I'll brook no argument' is far more elegant.

Going to have to watch how I phrase things as that post does portray a lifestyle that isn’t quite us!

I do wave an uncooked steak at the window when they’re eating our plants. No trouble eating venison. Just not ‘ours’ and we did end up giving them names : Itchy, Scratchy, Oh, Nadia, and Claudia.

I never know whether the poster is an Ali G wannabe or cosplaying a Cumbrian sheep farmer.

I'm sorry to say my list would be too long for the PH database to cope with.

Wife, told me it was spelt Tic. I didn't argue. Scrabble takes so long if you start challenging.

Most fancy / expensive food, i'd typically rather have a decent burger or steak than some beetroot roulade anus pate
Box sets, nearly every one I've tried to watch could have been condensed down into a 90 minute film rather than 10 hour long episodes of monotony
