See, this is the one game that we want the classic Moyes approach of everyone in our own box, no attack, possession is not a thing!

Doesn’t it just !

Had a little chuckle about some of their fans wanting to lose last night to stop arsenal winning … and they’re the club that think they are our cup final ffs !

I don't really care about Arsenal but it would have been good for a team other than City to win for a change.

Darren Bent sounded properly pissed off on TalkSport earlier - I chuckled & swapped to R5L.

Spuds I know were all very conflicted about the situation.

Let’s just say that there were some seriously inappropriate comments made. I’m pretty liberal minded but they were beyond the pale and I honestly don’t think I’m being too melodramatic when I say that I hope PH take it further.

Not going to repeat what was said but bearing in mind it was on a Spurs thread, you can probably join the dots and you wouldn’t be too far away.

Made me angry and sad in equal measure.

Oh well,9th position is where we are guaranteed to finish. Some dreadfully defensive football and yet we could quite easily end up with the 4th worst GD by Sunday, and our most goals conceded ever in a PL season (currently equal with the AV season).
Quite bizarre.

I've generally been pro Moyes but I'm bloody glad he won't be here again in the Autumn for another season of mid-table mediocrity. For a while now I've thought there was no way the team was going to improve any more with him as manager.

At least with Lopetegui we have some hope.

With you on that. Was always Pro Moyes until after Xmas, then it started getting to me,and likely everyone else who was in the same camp as you and I. Looking back,it wasn’t the results, I think fit was the sheer disappointment of seeing the team he put out for the LC 1/4 final against Liverpool that did it for me.

Sad to hear / probably get what was said on the Spurs thread, it really is pathetic.

I’m pretty sure it was either here or at the pub where I heard the rationale of “I pay to watch West Ham play football, not the opposition” that really did it for me this season, Moyes did a job but there’s a limit to how much I can spend watching utter dross and it is definitely time to move on.

Michail Antonio ‘prayed he would get injured so he didn’t have to play’.

Looks like he’s been through some dark times recently - would certainly explain his drop off in form.

Good to see he’s getting some help - I know he’s getting on a bit (aren’t we all!) but I’d like him to stick around as he’d be a great impact sub I think.

Agree re impact sub, but we cannot go into another season relying on MA as our sole striker.

BHA losing last night = WH finish ninth, regardless of Sunday's incoming loss.

Big PL improvement on last season (14th), still disappointing.

Exactly, if you guys only cared about league position or the cup count (which is all the media and pundits continually drone on about and justify why a West Ham fan shouldn't be complaining) then you wouldn't go to a single game and just check the league table at 9pm every Monday.

Newsflash..... City keeper injured made redundant and won't play on Sunday.
