Going round a roundabout the wrong way

Only seen this happen once and it was very late at night. It was an old Fiesta, and my mind still says it was just a few lads (probably drunk) having a laugh going the wrong way down the motorway. Still, I was alone, on an empty motorway, in the early hours of the morning (wanting to get to my missus' nice warm bed) so I wasn't hanging around... it's very wierd seeing headlights in your own carriageway. I thought it was just some idiot who still had their full beams on in the fast lane... s

The last time I saw someone going the wrong way round a roundabout, I was doing 60mph kneedown after a boring 2 hours on the M1 (hanger lane roundabout) and then all I saw was the inside of an ambulance.
Luckily my fingers which were all pulled out of their socket managed to find their way back in !
Lucky bh didn't get done for anything as she was a US tourist who had got lost on the M25 (heading toward Croydon) and found a roundabout but didn't know what to do when faced with it.

Could be wrong, but don't think they have roundabouts in the states, there is one as you approach the border crossing from Vancouver to the states, it comes up on my Tom Tom as "At the rotary......." and that was the only I saw oer there, can any our our American Cousing shed some light on that?.Luckily my fingers which were all pulled out of their socket managed to find their way back in !

Similar thing happened in our Village. Entry ramp off the A38 looks like a normal exit on the roundabout. I think it was last year that an old Boy entered the A38 on the off ramp & killed a young couple. Very sad.

I have had similar situations before when coming back to the UK after extended periods living in Europe. I was on a return trip to NL from the UK and was approaching the first roundabout I had to deal with (in my own village as it happens and luckily very late at night). There is some road furniture that pinches you to the middle of the road immediately before the roundabout and after the pinch I took to the left, rather than the right and proceeded to take the roundabout as if I was in the UK.
I met someone half way round and so I was so dumbfounded I even looked across at my girlfriend and said 'WTF is that moron doing coming the wrong way around' - then it dawned on us both.

Thinking about it, we all see drivers on the phone, fiddling with the CD player, belting a zillion watts of crap music, coupled with blinkers firmly pointed ahead, and lack of awareness of the basics of the HC, its not difficult to work out out an irriot would cock up a roundabout with a junction.
And have now you noticed now the evenings are drawing in, the same turds from last year, one headlight stuck on full beam, or both, or one not working, and the odd one with brake lights stuck on.
Do they learn nothing, do they ever check their vehicle, tossers the lot of them. I wont mention front fogs, that has been thrashed to death and back a few times on this site.

Open the page/get the picture (works for anything) on screen.Press 'print scrn' button on your keyboard (near top right, next to the 'F' buttons)
Open an image editing package (paint will do)
Go edit -> paste (or press ctrl + v)
Crop it down. (I do this by drawing round the bit I want to keep, pressing ctrl + c (copy) and then opening a new image and going ctrl + v (paste) in paint)
Save it somewhere.
Come here and click the 'upload an image (beta)' button at the top of the reply window.
Point it at the image you saved.
