I’m more concerned at the pricing. Looks too low for a quality restmod.

I really like that, it's got an old group 5 look to it, with a hint of Opel manta 400, but modernish.

I remember my friend took an engine with him in lieu of wages, and someone buggered off with a Jet APU !
And also had a hand in bringing down MG Rover, or at least earlier than may have happened as they were doing the development of the RDX60 to replace the R45/MG ZS and the TWR administrators refused to let MGR have their data back.

Why does anyone want a V12 anymore? Their big, heavy and unnecessary, any car equipped with one is inevitably compromised from the outset.

What's the bloody point apart from bragging rights?

The Lister XJS was awesome.
The Koenig XJS was dubious.
This is frankly unfortunate.
If you're restomod XJSing then IMO start with a Lynx Eventer.

Why does anyone want anything other than a three cylinder put put to get them around? Anything else is to complicated, too greedy and too damn flash....

I've not had a V12, or a V10 yet...one day.

The XJS is a long sleek graceful looking car that should have been mid engined based on the XJ13 but US Safety regs and cost cutting put paid to it having that configuration. £225k for the TWR is a tough ask for something that is so "aesthetically" challenging, powerful, brutal but not good looking.

I've always adored the XJS, they were proper 'Corrrrr' motors when I was a kid.

But this is utterly, utterly hideous, simply horrendous.

Sounds decadent; the Honda 5.5 on my lawnmower weights 16kg and will run forever on 25RON carrot juice - why would you need more?

the official blurb says “this is no ‘reimagining,’ or ‘modern interpretation’ of a Jaguar XJS. It’s a TWR through and through”

I also see Magnus Walker is part of the design team being so synonymous with Jaguar after all

Hey, it’s a bit of fun and surely looks a lot more exciting than anything Jaguar themselves has made for some years apart from the Project 7. If it ends up looking like this then, why not? They probably only need about 5 buyers to make a go of it. A modern Lister Le Mans. Their pricing doesn’t even seem that crazy compared to some of the restomods.

It’s thought to inherently be the smoothest engine configuration, a straight six is considered the second smoothest and that is half a V12.

hm... what a waste of time and money, its ugly this way, such car is also difficult for such to get nice.

they better made such on another old model from Jaguar, a more compact-ish model, maybe more classic model, not to long shaped.

hm, I thought maybe they can make a nice Tribute restomod on a Jaguar mk2, then I looked online and saw the mk2 from Ian Callum, nice and it seems they made a few more?

anyhow, way nicer such sort then the one in this topic for my taste at least.
