2012, 981 boxster, guards red with red roof

Hi I have found a 981 Boxster for sale at an OPC, everything looks ok mileage, owners etc the only thing I'm not sure on is the red roof with the guards red body, I think black would of looked better. Can a black canvas be fitted and if so what sort of cost would it be? Many Thanks 9heres a link to the car)

Ive been sent a video of the car with roof up and the different shade of red looks odd IMO, obviously might suit some one, but I really think black would look better?

Thank you for the replies. I have asked the OPC about the possibility of changing the roof in the deal and they have said no the price is fixed. It’s a shame because I don’t mind the interior?

Thanks again for the replies. I think any one other than Porsche changing roof will effect the Porsche warranty. OPC have said there’s no movement on price and a roof replacement at OPC is £3000 plus labour. Tbh I can understand them not wanting to get involved in changing roof etc I’m sure someone will like the combination but it just doesn’t work for me.

No it looks more of a different shade than that picture. The car is on autotrader too with some pictures of the roof up.

Tbh the pics on this advert it doesn’t look a bad match? Here’s the pictures they sent me. Looks like the pictures on autotrader have been edited because they look different shades?

The OPC salesman said the price is fixed at £28991 when I asked about the possibility of changing the roof/colour, I basically said if they could do that I’d be happy to buy? The car was then advertised two days later for £500 less £28491. No one ever got back to me and tbh I’m happy to wait until something pops up that suits me better.

It looks like the red/red 981 sold, as mentioned on here the low ownership and sensible mileage were attractive! My own search ended up with this example a 718 in Miami blue 1 owner 13k miles ????

No not yet, it’s getting serviced and PSE fitted at Porsche Hatfield first so will be a week or so. They had just took it in px against a newer one the reg on it was K4 BUY it’s now back on its 16 plate.

Yes a PSE was one option I was keen on and the OPC put a deal together that I was happy with. The OPC with the red 981 just said no when I asked about a deal/discounts etc? I only ever wanted the PSE fitted at Porsche to keep everything ok with the warranty
