I would always use the measurement without mirrors as they can be dealt with when entering car parks and on that score the new Vantage has gained considerable width and with almost 2.000mm makes it very ungainly in todays traffic so why are designers not focussed on this. Driving a 2m wide sports car in a restricted motorway lane where you sit low is a nightmare. In a Range Rover you sit much higher and you have a full view of the corners of the car. My wife drives an RS Q3 and that is only 1800mm wide and its a treat to drive.

I posted the various Vantage widths a while back in this post.

With mirrors the latest vantage is actually 29mmm smaller in width than the previous Vantage if you include the mirrors, over time the body width has grown by115mm, one reason why I went back to a VH car.

VH Platform Vantage 1865mm width with mirrors 2022
2018- 2024 Vantage 1942mm width with mirrors 2153
2024 Vantage 1980mm width with mirrors 2124mm
For me Its actually narrower than the car its replacing, which is 2007mm wide smile

Never had any issues driving wide cars, so many people moaning about width suggests very poor abilities at judging said width, probably best they dont get one and get a little mini of somekind.

Or it might suggest they drive in towns, cities or countries with narrower roads, or it might suggest you are just a condescending knob? wobble

Lot's of country roads near to where I live and many times you see the likes of cars like Range Rover having to pull right over or stop when another car approaches as they are too wide (1930mm) size does make a difference (she tells me it does).

Maybe the knob is the one considering buying a wide car and driving it in those places smile i’m guessing thats you wink

Wide cars are for places other than ste road england where there’s little point, luckily the rest of the world isnt a tiny island with millions of people crammed on hehe

The 2018-2024 Vantage is very wide with the side mirrors, deceptively so. I think I'm a fairly decent driver but the only car I've misjudged through a tight gap is the "old" Vantage (twice!). Just clipped the edge of the side mirror through a tight gap, expensive mistake. Curious about the width of the 2023 V12, as I believe they widened the car slightly over the standard Vantage (up to 40mm?). I'm guessing the new (2024-) Vantage is actually using the same widened chassis developed for the V12, but the V12 has the "old" mirrors, so it must even wider than both? Trying to justify my second light "brush"!

FWIW I test drove a ‘21 roadster last Monday. I found it easier to place than my VH AMR. Then again that could be because I was topless. What a wonderful car it was. Love it.

Few pictures of the launch vehicle at my local dealers. Not the spec I’d choose but very nice all the same. Ion Blue is lovely. Specced out at £260k

As you say nice Blue but £260k ?!
Given the pin-striping and the seats are probably the thick end of £20k they must have ticked an awful lot of other customisations.

Nope. They look the business, but all I've ever heard is that they're a pain to live with.

Have them in my V12 Final. They're a pain to get in and out of but very comfy once settled in. Similar to Porsche's carbon buckets.

I wouldn't option them for a DD but would for a weekend toy.

I’d go for the Sports Plus seats. They are sensational.

Agreed - the Sports Plus seats are very comfortable. I'm having second thoughts about optioning contrast stitching as there is a lot less stitching detail than the last gen on the seats and doors, it seems. Option price of stitching is over $5k, so value therein not particularly great.

Have you guys sat in the Mercedes W222 S63 seats for a comparison? (Best I’ve ever sat in)

Seats are a big one for me, the sports seats in the AMG GT have zero padding and would have optioned comfort seats.

Just wandering what you are comparing these sports plus seats to, so that I can relate..

How much will a 18 month old car be? £140?

I doubt that low. Work on about 50% of value after 3 years (the amount spent on extras when new can affect this, as they often don't lift the second-hand value to the same extent, but make it more desirable). So I'd guess , after 18 months, about £180k
