Marge and Massie trying to oust Speaker Johnson again, claimed support from Gosar as said last night.

With the recent win in NY house majority for the gop is just 1 now...
Hakeem Jeffries stand back and stand by? biggrin
Did I see that Moscow Marge was suggesting that Hakeem was a better choice than Johnson and that she would support him?

She just wants to destroy everything. She has not achieved anything other than building out her personal brand of dumb. And if she can tear down everyone else in the meantime, thats all good with her. I am not conspiracy theorist, but it does look like she is some anti-USA stooge that is just screwing everything up for fun.

It is hilarious to see the maddest members of the GOP eating it from the inside out.

Or in the back pocket of the Ruskies so there to sow discontent and hopefully get the gibbon back in power!

They're not big on keeping out of stuff these days - smart legal minds suggested that this Immunity case judgement was so watertight in the lower court that there was nothing for Scotus to take, so they'd decline to hear it.
But protecting trump seems to go before the law!
Time for Biden to add a few more liberal judges to the court, there's still time before or during voting, after all it worked with ACB

There isn't a vacancy. Trump got lucky with his period in office.

IIRC there is no requirement for a certain number of judges. There used to be one for each circuit, there are more circuits now than judges.
Perhaps half a dozen more, in their 40's? biggrin

An analyst has read a Time interview with trump and summarised as:

"Reading the whole interview, though, it’s clear that Trump does not know anything about anything," he contends. "His mind is a series of hazy orange corridors filled with dead ends, open pits, and trip wires. He stumbles through the maze, thunking gently off the walls, every so often belching forth a random quasi-anecdote or catch phrase."

About sums it up.

If the Pres has immunity, he could get someone to 'create' a few vacancies....

Filed some time ago but docs just released. Just a continuation of his previous claims that Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information first, Biden is vindictive, directing the prosecutions to stop him running and that it's a malicious prosecution and he's facing discrimination.
It was his third attempt and dismissed by Cannon back in March

Standard trump defence tactic going on, trying to claim trump knew nothing and his staff went rogue and commited crimes without his knowledge. He tried that in both his other fraud trials.

Defense is trying to claim Cohen went rogue and did this on his own to get a job in the White House, but you've got the documents showing trump repaid him, so it’s still a conspiracy to interfere in the election by silencing Stormy and covering up the payment

I was wondering how Trump was burning through so much money on his lawyers and then I realized, its the constant appeal and dismissal requests. IIRC there were 11 before the current trial that is going on now! With 3 attempts on the document mishandling now.... This is a great way to burn through cash!

And did I read that one set of lawyers has petitioned the court to be released from their dealings with Trump. Found it:

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/05/01/trump-campaign-law...

Quote - “an irreparable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship between the Firm and the Campaign.”

hehe

So many cases, so many lawyers and so much BS. I guess this is the way to burn through millions of dollars in fees.

Yeah, saw that. Its sickening. Ok, lets assume that this is some violent dog that keeps attacking everything and everyone. Ok, time to do something about it. Why not speak to the breeder you got him from? What about speaking to the local animal shelter? What about talking to a dog rehoming organization?

Taking the dog out into a field and shooting it dead because "its attacking my kids" is not an excuse. She has property and she has space. She could easily sort out a location for the dog to be for a short period of time before he can be re-homed.

Its as bad as these people to drop puppies or dogs in the middle of nowhere and drive off - at least the damn dog is alive in this case. But its the same principle. You didnt or couldnt (I am trying to be nice) train the dog, so you dumped it or just killed it. Nice. What a horrible hateful nasty woman.

For those who have a few minutes to read, take a look at the following article. It pretty much sums up what she is about. From anti same sex marriage, anti LGBTQ+ to be all about 'good christian family values' but forces the state to give her child a realtors license (and fired the person who did the testing for the license, who then subsequently won $200k in damages) yet seems to be all about self-enrichment and having an affair with Corey Lewandowski - and even lying about it. Yeah, shes a real stand up kind of woman.

Sums up everything you need to know about how the GOP got to where they are now.

The original excerpt in the book said she shot it because it couldn't be trained the way she wanted, then the multiple excuses started because she though the base/gun lobby would see her as a strong person and completely misjudged the reaction, blowing any chance of being trumps VP, hence the many attempts at damage limitation now.

Too late. The dog was never a threat to her children, she couldn't train it, it ruined her hunting, then when it thought it was doing what she wanted and attacked chickens it was the last straw, so she shot it. She said she hated it, it was less than worthless as a hunting dog, it showed her up so had to pay the price.

Prosecutors have entered one of Cohens tapes as evidence and the jury heard it yesterday, a tape of Trump and Cohen discussing paying off Karen McDougal:

Cohen: "I need to open up a company for the transfer of all that info regarding our friend, David, you know, so that — I'm going to do that right away. And I've spoken to Allen Weisselberg about how to set the whole thing up."
Trump: "So, what do we got to pay for this? 150?"

Cohen: "...funding. Yes. Um, and it's all the stuff."
Trump: "Yea, I was thinking about that."

Cohen: "All the stuff. Because — here, you never know where that company — you never know what he's...."
Trump: "Maybe he gets hit by a truck."

Trump then asked about financing and Cohen said, "Well, I'll have to pay something."
Trump: "Pay with cash."

Completely blew apart trumps defence attempt to say Cohen went rogue and did this all on his own. It showed trump had full knowledge of the payoff
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-critical-recording-...

They were trying to claim that Cohen did it all because he didn't get a WH Job, but the election hadn't happened at the point all this was negotiated. It only wasn't paid out by trump because if he lost the election he wasn't going to pay anyone, it didn't matter then. It was all negotiated before the election to keep the story quiet

trumps had his campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt go on right wing media to attack the jury with the same language trump used, that they weren't "fair and impartial."

"And they brought this case forward in Manhattan because they know it is a very blue jurisdiction where it's nearly impossible to get a truly fair and impartial jury for President trump,"

The gag order forbids trump from directing others to do his attacks...
