Err the main port place? biggrin I could google can't remember the name of it. Shipyard at the back is the one at north of the island then there is another freeport south.

No it's not where you're thinking, it's not at the north nor south end of the island. But it is main island, not Gozo.

Are you near the Maritime Museum? If so, a long, long time ago, I lived half a mile away.

I'm going offline now until Tuesday, so I'll give it to Riley Blue. It's in Birgu, which is where the Maritime Museum is, as Riley said, so near enough.

Over to you.

I read that three times before I stopped wondering why there is a marmite museum in Malta!

I'm afraid I'll have to pass it on again.

The only reason I knew was because just recently I've been trying to find the location of the flat we lived in when my Dad was on HMS Manxman during the Korean War. Mum and I were able to live on Malta even though he was away patrolling the Suez Canal and Red Sea much of the time.

I found the flat's location too, thanks to a photo taken at the time ('52 - '53).

In which case, if I may, I doubt this will take long…

I don’t recognise the place, but there looks to be an Oaks Hotel in the background. Is it Australia?
