Lewis's grin leads me to believe that that Newey is heading to Ferrari.
He won’t have any grin next year when he will be beaten by Leclerc. Leithen said:

If Lehklerrhke does well good luck to him.
But you're probably right, sadly.
Love Lewis’ emotions in that press conference. It was like asking a puppy if he wants to go and play with a ball, before reverting back eventually to a more diplomatic answer, and shows how hungry he is for that next title with Ferrari.
It certainly leaves the GOAT designer in no doubt about the demand for his services in Maranello, and I’m pretty sure he was watching.

I've long been an advocate on these pages that success is cyclical and I 100% agree that RBR's domination won't last forever. I still maintain that.
But I think it's a little too simplistic to think it all revolves around Newey and Verstappen. It's a strong team, with plenty of depth.
It's very unstable at the moment, but they have just as much chance as anyone at nailing 2026 if they re-structure quickly and properly. One might even argue that, with the advantage they have, they can pour more focus into the new rules than anyone else.......
It can be psychological though, people can loose their direction just on the loss of one player, two could be catastrophic. I can see the RB engineering team feeling a little rudderless without AN, but MV as well ? (if it happens of course). But I think it's a little too simplistic to think it all revolves around Newey and Verstappen. It's a strong team, with plenty of depth.

Must say, this is much a part of F1 as the races

It's likely many of the engineering team will be glad he is gone, he gets most of the credit for their work.Must say, this is much a part of F1 as the races

He won’t have any grin next year when he will be beaten by Leclerc. - Leclerc is more talented than Russell.
- Leclerc knows Ferrari inside and out.
- Hamilton is decadent.

I think Fred is going to have his work cut out behind the scenes in managing Leclerc and Hamilton - who is openly the #1?
I'm not sure he'll have to manage Hamilton that much. And I think he'll be straightforward with Leclerc too, just as he has with Sainz. Whoever is faster gets strategy priority and then it's all about what is best for the team. Leclerc will know that he has to up his game and become a far more consistent performer.732NM said:

Maybe, we shall see though if they suffer.
Exciting

I hope they do what Mercedes have always done, which is let them race until it becomes clear that one of them is in a title battle with a driver from another team, and then if that happens start implementing team orders to back that driver. However, this being the modern Ferrari and apparently incapable of making such decisions, I suspect they will simply let them race which will be great as a spectator but could easily cost them titles if we get a close run championship.
