A whiff of the Aston Martin Nigel about this. Quite cool looking, but don't think it will feature in my lottery garage.

I generally approve. However the splitter looks silly and It needs to be in Saint white rather than Aston green,

Im not an XJS fan, but really like this. Reminds me of the Lister one they built in the 90s, still the most incredible sounding car I have heard

Lots of talk of body styling and 600bhp but nothing about handling as I'm not sure I'd want 600bhp in an old Jag if I wanted to go around a corner although thats probably not the target market - more leaving in London for those plebs with cameras to run around taking pics their socials or turning up to C&M and wanting to be the centre of attention when in reality everyone is puking in their mouths.

I like it alot ots got a sort of Aston Victor vibe about it but it's what 300 350 when it's done. So not super exotic price like a 1 off RR or even a singer so who is going to buy it sure there are many with 350k to blow but there are other options. The lancia delta resto mod springs to mind or not that it matters but a toleman 911 maybe.

Still like it but think 88 buyers might be hard to find

Hmm, can get a lovely X150 XKR with 500 bhp for 20 grand, I loved the XJS but it was never really that good looking.

It didn't need to look like that. The XJRS or even late XJR models with the bodykit were purposeful enough. Just focus on improving the mechanicals and a beautiful interior.

Original XJS did nothing for me - but, a Lister XJS does. So a modern interpretation? Absolutely fantastic.

Yeah the usual PH moans. because your average PH visitor just moans at everything as default, and doubtless aspires to an Audi RS3 as the pinnacle of motoring....

I live close to their design office/factory, and have had a full tour from one of the two chaps leading this. This is a properly serious thing, with some real engineering integrity behind it. It's not just an XJS with a bodykit. And they will make "more than one running car", it's been going for years now with a full staff.... so the funding and commitment to do it is very much there. Good luck to them!

If i had £250k or so to chuck on a new car genuinely can't comprehend why it would be spent on a faster (thus even less usable) evolution of whatever McLaren or Ferrari are putting out .... stuff like this is just so so much more interesting.

On my fantasy-maaaaaybe-stretch-to-it-in-a-few-years Restomod list, this is bang in at #1.

The key point being that the Venn diagram of people with £250k to drop on a sportscar and people lusting over an XJS mated with a Richard Grant bodykit does not number 88 people globally.

Lister only managed to find a market for 90 Le Man cars when they were a) more current and b) starting from a considerably more well developed base vehicle.

Is it though?

If you had the development budget to drop on something that well-engineered, would the common-sense view not be to design something new, rather than re-hash what was always a divisive design? It always feels a bit "Britain's Got Talent" to me: you have talent, so why not use it to write your own material rather than sing somebody else's song?

That said, you'll probably never see another one (for a variety of reasons) and that's all some people need.

Eww. Eww eww eww eww eww. Both this and the TWR are hideous.

As someone else said, kill with the fires from hell itself.
