Went for a long ride to the new forest on Saturday. Test ride a Guzzi Mandello.

Boxhill on Sunday, was cold and wet.

Nothing beats blokes standing around looking at bikes!

I saw (heard) a Guzzi recently. it was mid 90s at a guess and sounded awesome. Unfortunately I was in the car and could not get around the roundabout quick enough, but heard it go full chat. Guzzi always remind me of my dear departed CX500, like the grown up parent!

Did an evening sesh at brands with my group I ride with on road. One was his first track day and the other is an MXer who gave it a try

Very lucky with the weather (although it was cold riding home in a 1pc)

Had a mix match of tyres with the rear being a tired S22 and my gosh did that thing start lighting up mid session. I ran 26 cold, came in from first session with it being at 33. Dropped it back to 28 luke warm but no warmers as we all rode to Brands and back so first lap they felt horrible and squishy

I got a noise black flag 2nd session baffle in so said I'd ride with a mate on 3rd session and short shift. Another black flag so had to miss my 4th session. It blew 98.9db on static but the Akra with baffle on my Tuono pings the driveby. My mate who is novice/inters no issue but I think I was wide open more and revving it harder/higher

This was my lot with me in the faster group (there were two groups). The others were out in novice/slower inters when I took this. The guy on the MT10 was his first time back on track after a horrific crash in 2019 where a foreign rider hit him right next to me head on at IOM TT (And my mate got paid out a lot but it took years to sort)

The S22 is a great all round tyre but I really had to start riding almost point and squirt. Once it started getting hot 3-4 laps in coming out of clearways it was squirming all over the place

Got some videos uploading which I'll get on YT at some point

Raised leading edges of the sipes indicates your rebound is a bit slow...... might have been a contributing factor to the sliding..

You're welcome hehe

Looks like a grand day out! Fair play to them giving it a go. Bike looks mega as ever, still loving it?

I remember when you posted that footage, not gonna lie it still pops in my head once in a while when I see someone spanking it coming the other way on a bike. Glad he's ok though.

Finally managed to get the swing arm back on the Mrs bike tonight after having it powder coated following my paddock stand faux pas.

As do I usually, it was pretty much a late night bit of fun to stop at a few locations for pics in front of some landmarks.
I actively avoid driving in London, didn't find riding as bad as it's much quicker.
The main annoyance was trying to keep everyone together through all the lights that seem to only go green for about 5 seconds at a time...
