Quiet year for us as we are hoping to be moving house at the end of the month so haven't booked in much at all.

We did our Jan - March in Spain and are now on only ours second trip of the year currently at Mayfield Park in Cirencester for 10 nights visiting friends and family. The only other trip we have planned (house move notwithstanding) is 2 weeks in Marazion and Charmouth from the middle of June.

If the house move goes OK we'll try and get over to Normandy and Brittany in September.

We had a Bank Holiday trip out to West Bay in Dorset in our Eriba. Lovely weekend, hoping to squeeze a few more in once it stops bloody raining!

For the start of August, I've booked the glamping option for 4 nights at Croft campsite
https://www.thecroftcampsite.com/index.html

Quite looking forward to this as I won't have to pack up the tent etc..!

Then 4 nights over the August BH weekend at Ecclesden Farm.

Just got back from a 1800 mile trip in our T6 camper van. We live near Southampton but the route went: Southampton, Buxton, Hornsea, Coldstream, Blair Drummond, Cobleland (South of Aviemore), Invernahaven (centre of Scotland), Skye, Oban, Milnthorpe, Whitchurch. We did the NC 500 a couple years ago and wild camped for a lot of it but this time did a mix of wild camping and paid for campsites. This trip was to fill in some of the gaps we missed on our first trip.

Campsites we stayed at and would recommend:
Near Buxton: Farditch Farm, Chelmorton
Hornsea: White Cottage Holiday Park, Hornsea
Coldstream: Coldstream Holiday Park
Blair Drummond: Blair Drummond Caravan Park
Cobleland: Cobleland Campsite
Invernahaven: Invernahaven Caravan Park
Skye: Glenbrittle Campsite
Oban: Highfield Holidays
Milnthorpe: Little Acre Holiday Park
Whitchurch: Grindley Brook Wharf

For wild camping we use park4night mostly...

Happy to answer any questions about the sites we used - prices, facilities what we thought of them etc.

Happy camping!!

Is that Highlands End? We were there in one of their glamping pods over the weekend.

Yes it is, nice site, even though we normally avoid 'holiday park' type sites we like this because of its location.

Spent the bank holiday at Blackland Lakes nr Calne in Wiltshire. Lovely friendly site, popular with anglers (two lakes) although we don’t indulge, good for young kids, handy for Caen Hill Locks, Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow, all nearby.

It’s an hour’s drive from home which is just great for a quick (in shed-dragging terms) getaway.
