718 S Remap anyone..??

718 S 2,5T PDK..looking for experience of tuning this engine ..Stage1 remap from a reputable source..anyone had it done, opinions..,,how strong is this engine to soak up a stage 1 tune. i guess PDK is pretty safe to take it,,thoughts and experiences welcome thanks.

9e had a Cayman 718S as a development car a while back. They gave it to me as a loaner while servicing my 991. IIRC, it was making c.450 PS and a real hoot! Not sure if they ever put the tune on sale but worth a call to Adam.

I know they did one for the base, but am sure I read somewhere the S one had heat issues.

No heat issues even when pushed on track with 9e 718 S.

9e power packages all properly designed and tested to hold their power lap after lap on track.

To be fair there are many tuning packages from tuners which may be very fast for a quick straight line blat but on track slower than the stock after heat build up and heat soaked.

I've had the Softronic remap for over 3 years now and never had any issues at all. Great upgrade and superb driveability. Definitely how it should have left the factory. I think 410 bhp is the realistic figure. Butt dyno only though. Nice to be able to remove the map myself too.

I believe Design 911 sell the Softronic map but I contacted Softronic directly and it was very straight forward. Scott, the owner, was fantastic to deal with and very, very knowledgeable.
