We seem to live in this ludicrous world where london football grounds disrupt everyone ,what with the drunken chanting slobs attending to capacity at 100s of events a year.
The only time F1 gets mention is some imbecile scheme to run it around the streets. Imagine the distruption of closing off so many roads for a week?
What the need to do is lay a pinball smooth track somewhere like hyde park. Grandstands can be temporarily brought in for the weekend.
F1 gets its claptrap city background shots. No distruption beyond what happens when a football match is on.
King makes it happen in a glimpse of the amount of power he actually has.
We could have 2 F1 races in multi f1 team UK like wot the 1 team Italians have.
Clapton, collins and sting concerts wont be forever so we need to find a new use for hyde park.
Anyway to stay on topic, Imola.
Up Park Lane, around (or through!) Marble Arch, out west on North Carriage Drive, then turn left through Hyde Park and over the Serpentine Bridge, back east alongside the A315, loop around Hyde Park Corner and then back up Park Lane. Google maps thinks about 3 miles. The only time F1 gets mention is some imbecile scheme to run it around the streets. Imagine the distruption of closing off so many roads for a week?

He actually has left, effectively.
He's no longer allowed to see car data, work on new parts for the car or have any involvement in race engineering or setup. As confirmed by Horner - who does generally lie but I can't quite see why he would lie in this instance.
Newey, is gone - other than the RB17 hypercar, which is a commercial project outside of F1 as a sport.
However, the people in place at RBR are more than capable of maintaining the advantage the car currently enjoys for the rest of this season and most likely next season - assuming they don't mess around too much with what works in Newey's absence.

Or... I can read what RBR have said regards Newey being cut out of future development..
I know what Christian Horner has said - his words aren't a matter of speculation: "Adrian's focus is very much on the RB17 (Red Bull's hypercar, ed.)," Christian Horner says. "He’s not sat in any briefings over the weekend other than the race strategy and he has no access to any data. He's not drawing any parts. His focus is now very much on RB17 to the end of his contract."

It's perfectly normal to cut him out given that he's almost certainly about to move to their closest competitor.
i was just asking if you had inside information.
most f1 teams know exactly what the other teams are doing, not trying to start a argument but genuinely would be useful if you have inside info.
Where's the WhatsApp messages Deuce? We really really want to know. Where's my pitchfork?

sorry i have no idea what he does, but if he has a genuine incite it would be great to hear, problem is alot of people post on here, and its hard to know who actually knows what they are talking about , forgive me if i offended, wasnt meant that way at all
I think you'll find none of us actually know anything. Its all right there. Some bloke who is 65 wants to experience sailing a yatch around the world and do a bit of motor racing while he is still fit enought to do both.
100 hr weeks in the ferrari office seem like fan fantasy . People not viewing him as a real person.
Its all still a big win for the rest of the teams.
I can accept he will start working for ferrari in some capacity. Saying no! no! no! now and again lol.

In this instance "what the press say" is a direct quote from the TP - that's as good as you'll ever get and more than sufficient to answer the earlier poster about his current level of involvement.
It would be far simpler in future, if you wondered where another poster gets the information they post, if just asked how they know. Clearly a person doesn't always need to work in F1 to know something that is happening in F1, IE; if it's been in the public domain from an official source for over a week
The Adrian Newey thread is over there ---> https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Correct - other than what is stated as fact - in this instance the RBR TP telling the press in black and white terms that Newey is no longer working on the car or able to see data etc. That's fairly straightforward.
I'm sure it is true the TP made a statement... I'm aware the TP in question in a lying toerag..
But in this instance it's hard to see a motivation to lie. Of course Newey is no longer on the inner circle at RBR, or even involved in their sporting endeavours at all. He's jumped ship

Horner stated Newey hated regulation changes. At the exact same time Newey was being interviewed and said that reg changes were his favourite time
Should probably get back to the GP now, I think there's enough threads for discussing Horner being a wker (proven ) and Newey debunking to Fezza
