Robocop hasn't aged well IMO. Loved it when it was released in the late 80's but watched it recently and errr... don't any more.
You're having a laugh; it's absolutely timeless! The only thing that has potentially aged is the stop-motion of ED-209 but that's the only thing I can think of.
I re-watched Starship Troopers last night. Looking at it with older eyes, and understanding what Verhoeven was trying to say it makes much more sense. Some of the acting remains dire.

I still can't believe that some people took it at face value and thought it was pro-fascist and pro-war, rather than the satire that it was. KamSandhu44 said:
I highly recommend you watch RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop. It sounds like they had such a blast making this!!
Watching it now. Love the kitsch 80's vibe of the title and intro.Have you played the video game "Robocop: Rogue City"? It similarly really captures the vibe of Robocop
edit: wow, I did not realise the SFX luminaries who were involved. Guys from Star Wars and The Thing
edit2: and the movement coach stuff. Amazing
edit3: not seen the film in a while so the clips are making me realise how faithful the Rogue City video game is
edit4: the surnames of the cops are all those of serial killers? Amazing

Is Rogue City worth playing then? I've had it on my list a while and I thought it looked decent, the only bad reviews I saw of it seemed to say that it was just a bit one dimensional, which tbh is exactly what I want from a Robocop game where the dimension is annihilating everyone/thing in sight Have you played the video game "Robocop: Rogue City"? I thought it was superb. It is a game that totally "gets" RoboCop. The story is good, and fits in very well with the canon of the films. I really enjoyed it. Black Flies
Was sure we'd had this but can't find anything recent, was in 2 minds thinking it could go either way. But Sean Penn delivers as ever, Tye Sheridan is very good, and Mike Tyson shows why he really should never be cast in anything.
The tales of NYFD medical not sure why the fire dept attends as many things as it does and not more general medics, but the stresses and strains and impacts, are very well played out.
7.5/10 may be a little high as I was not expecting much, but after a slow start to get you an idea of the characters, it is a good watch.

I bought it the next day (The 'special' version was 50% off on the PS store) and although I haven't had a chance to play more than about an hour so far, it's fun.
I just wanted to say the following re the above mentioned films:
Last star fighter - fantastic film when I saw it however many years ago - no concerns / awareness about CGi just a great involving story.
Robocop - loved it when it came out and saw it relatively recently at the cinema and I thought it was great - yes obviously of its time and ED-209 is visibly stop
Motion but still an excellent gritty film.
Starship Troopers - absolutely excellent film anyone who takes it at face value is an imbecile but also excellent casting and performances along with brilliant production.

Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game - 2022
Story about a journalist who helped turn around the ban on Pinball machines in New York in the 70s.
Great story telling and excellent performances, surprisingly moving as well. Low key and low budget but highly recommended.

The lead actress is stunning too, which was a bonus.
I really pleasant, feel good way of spending 90 mins. If you're stuck for something to watch, this may surprise you. (On Prime)
Rarely does a film capture my attention and not have me fiddling with my phone, but this one did. The switching back and forth between interview and recreation workes really well.
Highly recommend (enough for me to sign-in to reply and not lurk!)
Falling Down
Aaaah, the old classic about a regular guy who is frustrated with the world and goes on a rampage. Haven’t seen it for decades, my friends and I were talking about it recently so purchased the dvd (cheaper than buying from a streaming site, how can that be right?! Anyhow…)
They don’t make them like they used to, has that 90s gritty yet filmic brightness to it which I always liked, holds your attention from the start and I found it to be a really good film.
7 quality fast food breakfasts out of 10 lunch menus from me.

A Man Called Ove - Bluray
A bitter and curmudgeonly widower wants to end his life but his suicide attempts keep being interrupted by his neighbours.
This has been on my watch list for years but I just never got around to seeking it out. I saw the US remake starring Tom Hanks last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, the original Swedish version however is better in every way and has a gravity that the remake just cannot match.

If you liked Falling Down but wanted a bit more action and dark humour, I highly recommend Uwe Boll’s Rampage. Friday night has become weird film Friday in our house, and after the wife chose American Beauty last week it was my turn. Sadly she refuses to watch RoboCop so instead we went for The Big Lebowski.
Pretty sure it needs no introduction, but just in case, Jeff Bridges and his misfit bowling team get themselves involved in rescuing a rich man's wife from kidnappers, and chaos ensues.
Easily in my Top 5 if not Top 3 films, so many brilliant lines and each time you watch it you pick up on something else.
"I am here to fix da cable ya"
"You can guess what happens next"
"He fixes the cable?"
Easy 10 out of 10 for me.

Some Other Woman
On Sky, needed a Friday night and this didn't look too bad... Starts interesting with a couple living 'the island life', a mysterious woman starts coming in to their life, the woman in the couple starts "going mad" with things changing in her life from what she remembered (where they got engaged for example). Makes you wonder what's going on, then the film ends and I still didn't really get what was going on.
6/10 for the first half, 2/10 for the second.
