Change is likely but not inevitably for the better, for example check out this claim (any Starmer policy may be subject to a u-turn, obviously)...

Starmer’s secret plan for energy prices is terrifying
Labour is about to plunge Britain into a fresh energy price crisis in the name of Net Zero
Lovely.

There is no escaping Labour’s dilemma. The party’s Net Zero goals are inordinately expensive. Abandoning the £28 billion public spending target while maintaining the goals just makes everything worse for households and businesses. Sir Keir should now change the goals
They got the £28bn u-turn correct, like the rest when in the above context change will make "everything worse for households and businesses". What the total price to be paid for "not the tories" via Starmer remains to be seen. Anything sensible to add?

Any response to Ashcroft’s hypocrisy?Anything sensible to add?
Your ‘ad-hom fallacy’ is now beyond tedious. Try something new.

Starmer may yet turn out to be a costly anti-hero. We shall see soon enough.
Not soon enough. If Sunak and his deplorable party had any sense of putting the country first they would announce the GE now, they’re in a death spiral and so wracked with division and in fighting that they cannot govern effectively. 119 said:

Must admit I was thinking/hoping they would finally step up and make some sort of effort with the ultimately opportunity but dare I say, I am very disappoint.Keir has not only revived the Labour Party he has added a new expression to the political descriptions.

For those of you who don't want to click on the link he says "It’s time for change. My Labour government will be different. We’ll run a patriotic economy where Britain’s interest is centre stage and Britain's hardworking families reap the rewards
Note that Sir Keir doesn't say the next Labour Government he says "My Labour government"
That shows ownership that shows his character and that he will make changes.
It's not often I say this but today I will. I say jolly well done Sir Keir. Well done for taking ownership and showing those lefty scum that you are in charge. And well done for coining a new political terminology that will be talked about for years to come

The electorate has thus far been sold a fantasy on "net-zero", that it will be both cheap and generate lots of green jobs. In reality it will be extremely expensive and likely finish off any remaining energy intensive businesses.
This isn't really a dividing line between the two parties though as both are committed to the current path, Sunak's feeble gestures notwithstanding.

The Rayner story is going to be interesting because as read I can’t see how fraud of some description hasn’t occurred. Either she’s messed up the house sale or she’s messed up electoral fraud. I can’t see how both things can be true…unless the story is incorrect of course.
How? She exercised Right to Buy and then sold the house some years later. What's the story?

ETA: reading a bit more it seems that Right to Buy comes with a certain requirements that might be an issue. E.g you have to have lived there for 5 years after you buy it to qualify for the discount.

Must admit I was thinking/hoping they would finally step up and make some sort of effort with the ultimately opportunity but dare I say, I am very disappoint. The Lib Dems are strong in some parts of the country, and combined with tactical voting will steal some additional seats from the Tories. Something that Reform won't do.
