Brian McCardie has died aged 59.

Played Tommy Hunter in Line of Duty etc

Recently has been filming the prequel to Outlander.
That's a bit of a shock. He was always good at playing a baddie.
No age really RIP

Richard Tandy, keyboard player for ELO. I saw him first (with the original Electric Light Orchestra) at Wembley in 1981, then more recently at the O2 in 2018 with Jeff Lynne's ELO. Sad loss, great music.

For those of us over a certain age he was one of those that we learned to play like as we began to play guitar.

This makes me sad.

Saw him on a tour of the UK with Bobby Darin.

Absolutely my favourite ELO track, sounds great stripped back like that. Amazing that Jeff wrote it in 30 minutes as an album filler.

I remember you mentioning your family connection in a previous thread. My condolences.

His music, alongside Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra took me through my formative years and made me a lifelong ELO fan. Condolences from someone who really appreciates what he's left for us.

Roy Cross may not be that well known outside the world of scale model building but his artwork for Airfix packaging in the 1960s and 1970s was iconic and instrumental in me parting with lots of my pocket money as a young lad.

He had just celebrated his 100th birthday.
